  • One of my new all-time favorites!

Going into Carry On, I was so worried that it would be a "little bit different" Harry Potter, with a spin on Harry and Draco falling in love. I was so wrong. This novel stands apart and made me wish that I'd had the Simon Snow novels to grow up with as well. The characters nuzzled their way into my heart, not only by being fearless but by being flawed. No one was all-powerful good or bad in this novel-- everyone landed in this middle ground which is so representative of actual society. I think that's what I loved most about it. And, of course, watching the relationship between Baz and Simon unfold. Their tension was glorious. Carry On has found its way onto my all-time favorite books list.

  • Expectations Exceeded!

This story, although quite fantastical, has got to be one of the most real and relatable ones I've ever read. The relationships, the characters, and the deceit and deception make the book what it is - amazing! If you are having any doubts about buying this novel, put them to rest and let the captivating storyline convince you. The only problem with this book is how many times it'll make you want to re-read it! Honest to God, this is a purchase you will never regret. It's also quite long so you really get your bang for your buck! <3

  • One of my favorite books now!

After reading Fangirl, I decided to read this book because I love Rainbow Rowell and was curious about the world of Simon Snow. I instantly fell in love (as strongly as Baz fell in love with Simon) with the characters, the plot, and especially the writing style. There were many passages that made me just sit up and think "Whoa." I love this book!

  • Good

Slow to start but fun once it gets to Baz and then everything starts.

  • Good! Great! Magical..ly.. delicious..!?

I'll be honest. It started off feeling like a bit of a Harry Potter ripoff. But it set itself apart pretty quickly, and then I accidentally finished it in one sitting. Oops. The story and characters were both well written. I totally haven't got a crush on Baz now. Magic, lgbt representation, vampire roommates... what's not to like?
