    inspiring story

I enjoy the Victoria Square cozy mysteries and was excited when this new short story came out. It's a complement to the series featuring Ray Davenport, who runs the Wood U shop at Victoria Square. He catches a boy stealing a few of his woodcarvings. The shoplifter's grandmother brings the boy back to the store, but that's not the end of the story...... This story taught me a little about woodcarving, and warmed my heart as well. Lorraine Bartlett has a way of making the characters come alive in the pages and I enjoyed every page.

    A wonderful read!

What happens when a young shoplifter swipes a hard carved figurine from Ray Davenport, owner of the Wood U gift shop? In this charming story, we get a peek inside Artisan's Alley, a craft arcade, managed by Katie Bonner. I'm a big fan of this series and enjoy learning more about the individual artisans. their lives and relationships. Highly recommend!
