  • Manuelito and Chee rock.

I enjoyed this Anne Hillerman book. I have read most of her father's and find Anne's style very similar. Anyone interested in indigenous cultures, south-west USA geography, and also wants a good mystery/police procedural will not be dissapointed.

  • Cave of Bones

I enjoyed this book as much as I did Tony Hillerman's books so I bought another one!

  • Excellent

I felt somewhat reluctant, indeed a bit wary of reading Anne Hillerman's books because I had very much enjoyed her father's stories. I picked up the first of her series "The Spiderwoman's Daughter" at the library and was delighted to find I enjoyed it. Excellent continuation of the characters and lots of interesting information about the land and culture. I have continued to read the series.

  • What a joy to read

I have read all of her dad's books, most more than once. And I am so glad that Anne has continued these stories. Leaphorn, Chee and Manuelito and people whom you come to love. Anne's stories are as intricate and complex as her dad's and as satisfying in that regard. But Anne brings a woman's perspective which adds a new and wonderful dimension. I am so glad that the father daughter magic continues.

  • Exciting and well written mystery

How wonderful that she is carrying on her fathers stories in her own style. Excellent read.
