  • Plenty of action!

Forgetting what happened when you trusted the wrong people would be a nightmare she never wanted to repeat - Tina Out on a solo overnight with Scout, her rescue dog, Tina gets called to find a backcountry skier who hasn’t checked in. If that isn’t enough to gain your interest, then perhaps the multiple kidnappings, the nightmares and past history will keep you reading. The past seems to have a way of circling around to open old wounds, but at the same time to clarify some of the mysteries. Will Tina let unforgiveness continue to plague her and thus ruin her life - or can she learn to forgive and move on? This ARC of Stryker Security Force #3 was received from the author/publisher. My impressions and comments were in no way solicited.

  • Great Book!

I really enjoyed getting to know Tina as more than just the nanny we meet in book one of the Stryker Security Force series. She struggles to let others in and trust them with her heart due to a very difficult childhood. It should be noted that this book deals with some heavy topics and people who are especially triggered by them (child abuse and suicide being the biggest ones) should be aware of this if they are thinking of reading this book. Because all these things happened in the past, however, the reader is not forced to live through these traumatic experiences with the Tina. Instead we only hear about them in fairly general terms as she learns to open up to others and begins to heal. For that reason I think some people sensitive to these topics may still be okay reading the book, but if you are at all worried about it then be safe rather than sorry! I really appreciate the fact that Milo has struggles of his own to work through. He isn’t some perfect knight in shining armour. At the same time, he is also strong enough and stable enough to support Tina as she learns to trust others, rather than being additional baggage for her to lug around. Something I love about Tina is how tough she is, both in spite of and as a result of her past. Others see her as quiet and reserved, but as Milo gets to know her he is struck by her strength and compassion. One of my favourite moments is when Tina realizes that she is capable of taking care of herself, but doesn’t have to do it alone any more. She discovers she can lean on both Milo and her Stryker Security family for support. I read Celebrating Tina in a single day, which is one day less than I spent on each of the other books in the series. I give Celebrating Tina 4 stars, I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to start book 4! This is an excerpt from my full book review, which can be found at betweenbookends1.blogspot.com ~Esther

  • Compelling Romantic Suspense

Celebrating Tina is a well-written addition to the Stryker Security Force series. The main characters Tina and Milo knew each other in high school. They meet again when Milo is a police officer, and Tina is training with a dog for Search and Rescue. I found both characters to be very likable, and I was really wanting their relationship to work. The romance in the story is swoony, and the suspense is exciting. There are some sizzling kisses, but nothing more. It's a very clean book. There's the perfect HEA, and the mystery is solved. The plot had some twists and turns that I did not see coming. I would definitely read more from Sara Blackard and recommend her books to family and friends. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this gripping romantic suspense

  • Absolutely Amazing

This is book three in The Stryker Security Force Series and it is Tina and Milo's story. Tina had been through so much in her life including being in a foster home but now she is part of the Stryker Security family that help people but she has got trust issues along with a lot of baggage that keeps her from connecting to people and that makes her isolated even when she has people around her that cares. Milo is in the police force and also makes sure that his mum and brother are okay and he supports them, when he is out in the snow on his own he has a accident and he is rescued by Tina and her dog scout. Tina had a crush on Milo in school but when she rescues him she doesn't let on that she knows him. Milo and Tina have instant chemistry between them but will it be enough for them to get over what they have been through to get a chance of being together and having a happy ending. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline in this book and I couldn't put it down as it was so well written and addictive. Sara Blackard is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and I have only read three of her books but they are such an amazing read and so well written and I can't wait to read more of her books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
