    Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this one! Jade and Edmund are both strong, intriguing characters and I wanted to see them succeed both professionally and personally. They are two lost souls who seem to be exactly what the other needs to heal and move forward. This book is very well written with a nice easy pace to the story making it an enjoyable relaxing read. I definitely recommend this one.

Dr Prince Charming meets Nurse Capt Marvel

WoW what a surprise author Patricia W Fischer gives us in Challenging the Doctor!. First off let me say Edmund is indeed Dr Prince Charming and Jade is one lucky lady. This book was so good. It was well writ and we got to catch up with so many well loved characters. Loved seeing some get put in their places while others we see how they have advanced and grown. I was highly impressed with how Jade's past was spoken about and loved how women are lifted up in this book. Can't wait to see who we get to meet next from this family.

    Show me, don't tell me.

26 Chapters. Nope. I cannot read this writing style. Regardless of how hard I try to, I just can't do it. I absolutely hate third-person point of view. For me, it stops the story from flowing. When the characters speak, it seems past-tense. I like reading a book not being told a story. It feels like an outsider is telling the story. A BIG (DNF) This book might be for some people, but it's not for me. -- The mere idea of a helpless princess waiting to be rescued angered her beyond reason, because Prince Charming and knights in shining armor didn’t really save those who wouldn’t save themselves.-- -- Desperate, Jade confided in her best friend, Thomas McAvoy, about her situation at home. She thought he would give her a safe place to stay. Instead, he called the police.-- -- After her mother and stepfather were taken away, child protective services called her stranger of a father, Harlan Carter, and put her on a plane here, to Montana, where she’d finally grown up with a parent who truly cared about her.-- - “How frustrating for you.” Jade’s voice remained professional and confident as the father vented.

Loved this book!! Dr Edmund Davidson needs to start over after a scandal, so what's better than to work in Marietta. He works along side Jade, a nurse practitioner. Jade is a very strong person but has her own demons in her closet. Jade has also recently returned to Marietta after the death of her father. There is an instant chemistry between the two, can I say hot!! Will these two kindred souls finally find their happily ever after? Loved these two broken souls, both needing to leave their pasts behind them and move forward. Jade is such a strong woman, with her past and present situations. Edmund is a prince, will not let anyone/anything stand in his way of having his HEA with Jade. I must say I loved Fred too. Author Fischer has done an excellent job on her medical information. An element of suspense added into the story makes for the perfect read.
