Can't wait for the next book!!

This is War is a steamy and at times hilarious enemies to lovers romance. I started this book and could not put it down! Yes, there is angst and drama, but the chemistry between Travis and Viola was amazing. It actually took me a bit to start liking Travis, but that's mainly because I'm not a huge fan of the manwhore plot line. He has some awesome back and forth with Viola, but I really just wanted him to be honest about his feelings for her. Because of this, I was a little less than enthusiastic about all of his sexcapades and hook-ups. It did provide some hilarious cock blocking scenes though, and my favorite was the one featuring Mary Poppins! ;) I really loved Viola's sexy bookish personality and she had some of the best comebacks and dialogue in the book. Learning her and Travis' history was at times heartbreaking (young love can be so confusing!), but it also explained a lot about why they acted the way that they did. I was definitely frustrated by both characters lack of communication though, and the book honestly lived on this misunderstanding filled angst. The secondary characters in the book were equally as fun, and I enjoyed the close brother/sister bond with Drew, as well as Viola's relationship with her best friend, Courtney. Everyone needs a girlfriend like Courtney. She is not only supportive, but she will also call you out when you're being stupid and tell you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear. Drew is the typical over-protective older brother, but you know he's actually a good guy and means well. Lots of seeds were planted for these 2 characters, so I'm curious to see where their story goes. Even crazy Alyssa was wonderfully hateable and I can't wait to see her character go down in flames (crossing my fingers for this in book 2!) The ending. That. was. not. cool. I definitely kept flipping thinking that I was missing a few pages, but it really did end on a major cliffhanger. I'm fairly certain it's just another one of Travis and Viola's classic misunderstandings, but we'll have to wait and see. Overall, I really enjoyed this sexy story and am eagerly awaiting the next book!

    Deliciously messy & sexy!

If you like your books dirty, gritty and raw with characters who make questionable decisions that make you want to cringe and yell at them for through your Kindle, you need this book. Mostly, I want to yell at Travis King because oh boy....the man is INFURIATING! Yet at the same time it's sort of adorable and I want to like him, which makes me want to hate him because I shouldn't like someone who has mastered the arts of bad decisions and witty comebacks. And after the major cliffhanger that I never saw coming in a million years, I have a SERIOUS book hangover and an epic case of Grabby Hands for the next book.

    4/4.5 "Bring It On" Stars!

Now I thought I've read some great enemies to lovers books before, but after reading this book, I honestly wasn't prepared for all this laugh out loud, off the charts sexual tension, craziness! And I loved EVERY minute of it! Viola Fisher is... well quite like myself actually. Seen as the goody-two-shoes of the family with her nose always suck in a book, she was always viewed as the "virginal" one. Despite what she reads about in her romance novels, she believes Prince Charming can never be more than a fictional character. Naturally she knows this from experience... "There is absolutely, positively, no way that a man like that exists on this earth. I used to think he was, but of course, I was proven wrong. I was young and naive, and didn't know any better. And he was Travis King." Not just any Travis King, but THE Travis King. Playboy extraordinaire and Viola's older brothers best friend. Their hatred for each other was lethal. To the point where anyone who stood in their crossfire would regret it. So it's definitely safe to say Travis' feelings were mutual. Attracted to her or not... "She's the perfect little prude who thinks she knows everything just because she's the class brainiac. She judges everything I do while being a complete c*** tease." The urge to one up each other is off the charts... Right along with the sexual tension. "All the tension bottles up and releases in harsh waves, ready to jump each other's bones or kill one another." Viola and Travis' past runs deep. All it took was one misunderstanding to change their friendship. However, even after all that time, the one thing that never changed were their true feelings for one another. "My thoughts are plagued by her, and if I don't get everything about her out of my mind, I'll go f****** crazy." "I'm completely losing myself in him. With every second, my heart beats a little faster, falls a little deeper, and every time his mouth covers mine, I forget how much he broke me in the past." Reconciliation may be in their grasps, but what happens when the unexpected happens and you're left wanting answers you may not understand? This book was simply AHHMAZING!!! One of the best parts about this book was all that electric crackling sexual tension!! Oh how I would've LOVED to be the one counting! (If you've read the book, you know what I'm talking about) Sign me up Mr. King!!!

    First Move

Whew this book blew me away. From the first page to the last your wrapped up in all that is Viola and Travis. Viola first met Travis when he became best friends with her brother when she was the tender age of 10 and of course what's a girl to do but crush on him something fierce. Until that crush leads her to heartbreak and loathing that makes the angst in this book splendid, which of course inevitably leads to a smoldering chemistry that sets my kindle on fire. Travis has always been drawn to Viola but didn't want to cross that line and lose his best friend. Viola and Travis is the perfect combination of enemies to friends that I have not had the pleasure of reading in a while and I loved it. Even during their sexy times they couldn't help but upset each other which actually made it even more hotter. The ending though is what made this book explode for me, I just can't explain without giving anything away, you definitely need to pick this book up its INCREDIBLE and will be reread continuously until the next installment.
