    Interesting read

I am glad that I purchased the Omnibus collection of all four stories. If I had started buying these one at a time, I would have stopped buying them after the second story. The first story was good, but seemed to be too short and missing a good portion of the plot. When I then read the second "book," I discovered where the missing material had gone. This second book had the first five chapters devoted to repeating, often word for word, portions of the first book, inserting the missing information which should have just been in the first story. Thankfully, even with more diligent editing needed in each of these stories, the plot line kept me coming back for more and I was pleased with books three and four. I was drawn into the characters and would like to know more about what happens with them, but I am concerned about running into the same method of short changing one book to create another. The author held my interest by combining archaeology and science fiction. Now, unfortunately, it appears that the plot is going to be he heading deeper into the realm of fantasy writing, versus fiction, so I think I will opt out.
