  • Feel Good Holiday Story

There are actually two romances going on in this story but more than that, this story is about Christmas, recovering from losses, overcoming the past and beginning fresh, plus enjoying friends and family! That might sound like way too much to put in a book but the author is just that talented! Her stories are always filled with wonderful characters, towns that become part of the story and so much emotion. I am drawn in from the very beginning of this story and when it ends, I want to cry! I am not ready for this book to end! Abby's husband is murdered two years prior to the opening of this book and she's still trying to put together the pieces of her life but her son, Christopher, is turning 5 and she has decided that a new city is the next step in her life. Before she moves, however, she will go to Silver Bells, Colorado to help out her college roommate's grandmother who needs nursing help through the holiday. She can never guess how much it will change her life. Christopher is an amazing boy! I fell in love with him from the start! So cheerful and full of life! Abby is a little overprotective but she's a single mom so... She meets "Grandma" Winnie and instantly falls in love with her. Then comes her grandson, Ethan, and they first rub each other wrong but things can change. I really enjoyed the romance between Lucy and Jose. It was very honest and real. Lucy has been globe-trotting for years because she doesn't want to commit to anything and Jose wants her to face life. Jose's brother, Rod, is the sweetest character ever! Holiday House was a place I want to live! The people in the town are amazing! A fantastic story with so many takeaways! I loved it all!

  • Holiday Romance

Christmas at Holiday House by RaeAnne Thayne. Abrigail Powell and Ethan Lancaster are the main two characters. Abigail is a nurse and a single mom to Christopher getting ready to move cities when her best friend talks her into going to care for her grandmother Winnie in Sliver Bells, Colorado. Abrigail and Christopher arrive at Holiday House to find that Ethan is trying to convince Winnie to go into rehab and Winnie is totally against that because she wants her house decorated for Christmas and wants to do all the activities that she normally does. Along the way while working together to give Winnie what she wants Abrigail and Ethan fall in love. This was a wonderful book and I totally recommend to anyone looking for a great book to read.

  • Fantastic

No one can spin a holiday tale quite like Raeanne Thayne and this one does not disappoint. Christmas at Holiday House is a feel good story with not one but two romances to lift your heart. All the while the author paints a beautiful picture of snow covered fields, beautiful lights, and a quaint little town filled with wonderful characters and Christmas cheer all around. She makes you feel like you're right in the middle of it all too. If you only pick up one holiday book this year make it this one. I highly recommend it.

  • A great read for the holiday season

On the day before Thanksgiving, Abby, a young widow, and her son Christopher are on their longest road trip ever. Driving through the town of Silver Bells she feels like they’re on a Hallmark movie set. Lucy, Abbys old college roommate whose family owns Lancaster Hotels, has asked Abby to take care of her grandmother Winnie. Winnie had a serious fall and needs home care to avoid going to a facility Lucy is overseas and Abby will take care of Winnie until Lucy returns in a few weeks. Abby has time to do this before she and Christopher move to Austin. Oh, but wait.....Lucy has a brother, Ethan, who has insisted Winnie go to a rehab facility. Ethan is in Silver Bells too. He was not happy when Lucy told him Abby was coming to help. Ethan is stern and unfriendly ....but oh so gorgeous. Ethan tells Winnie he had made arrangements for her to stay in a nice new facility to which she promptly tells him he can un arrange it. As CEO of the families hotel chains he is used to taking and being in control. However this time he is wrong. Clearly Winnie is in charge. Then there is Lucy and José., Ethans good friend who also works for Lancaster Hotels. José doesn’t want to be another fling. Lucy isn’t ready for a serious commitment. Lucy and Ethans parents had had a horrible marriage. Clearly this has shaped them and affects their relationships. I could give more details but I don’t want to give too much away. This book held my attention to the end. The characters are flawed but relatable and lovable. I received a complementary copy for review. All opinions are my own.
