  • Not as good as the first book

The first was better overall. I enjoyed the story but don't feel this added anything much to the world it's set in. It felt unfinished and actually left more open questions than the first one. Perhaps it was meant to be a trilogy, now unfinished.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Excellent sci-if!

This is pretty brilliant sci-fi. The evolution of the main character, as well as the richly imagined world across the two books, Metropolitan and City of Fire, is impressive and deeply engrossing. One of the best I've read in 40 years of being a voracious sci-if/fantasy fan.
