    Close to Heaven

I was so glad to snatch this book to read. I have most of Pamela's books. My heart is with Bear for the Colorado series! This book is reading time travel. I don't usually like this reading but this was perfect. Joe owns a bar and brewpub. Rain is his best waiter and helper for people with problems. He hired her at 17 with a new baby. Now it is 20 yrs. It is snowy and her house collapsed on her. Joe will take her in, and she will find a book of past of the town history. Major Spoiler! Silas Moffat is the rich man who makes the silver mines to get him money. Miners want Unions and he keeps his money. This book has Rain crying. Joe is the last Moffat in this town. Rain was brought up poor. Yet she is happy. Joe is rich and she doesn't want to know how much. Everyone in town know Joe and Rain love each other. You will have to read to the end to see how it ends. You will need tissues near you. I really fell for this book. Think platinum! Check out this book! Enjoy reading your book!

Rain and Joe are finally brought together by fate intervening by way of a blizzard. Enjoyed these characters and storyline. Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

    A Beautiful Journey

20 years is a long time to love someone from arms length. I admit, it bothered me at first that it took Rain and Joe 20 years before something finally shook these two enough to take a chance. However, once things started to change for them, it really was a beautiful story. Rain came into Joe's life when she was just 17 and with a two week old baby. She was desperate for a job and Joe couldn't refuse her. We learn that he was drawn to hear from the start but he's 10 years older than her and he didn't want to take advantage of her situation. As the story moves along, we learn why he never made a move. I'm not usually one who likes this scenario. I like for the Hero to see what he wants and go after it and yet, I can concede that in a case like this, the author did the right thing with Joe. The journey of learning what shaped him and his discovery that he wasn't what he feared through the love of Rain, his employees and the town folk makes for a very heartwarming tale. I'm looking forward to what the author will bring us next in the series. Arc provided by NetGalley.

    Great story

They say that good things come to those who wait, but 20 years is a long time. Rain & Joe have been in each other’s lives for 20 years & have been in love with each other for about that long. What starts out as a winter tragedy turns into a Christmas miracle. Rain’s home is destroyed in a blizzard & with Joe coming to her rescue it starts an avalanche of emotions & proves to be the time for some decisions to be made. Rain decides to bare her heart to Joe in hopes that it will bring him closer, but he doesn’t respond the way she expected, causing her to make some life changing decisions. Joe’s stupidity is brought to his attention by many & forces him to the realization that if he doesn’t make up his mind he’ll lose Rain forever. What neither of them expect is the life altering surprise that brings with it fear but joy beyond belief. This book was wonderfully written & I enjoyed the story within the story of the tragic history of the tiny little town. Definitely recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book from Net Galley.

    ok read

After secretly lusting and dreaming about each other, it takes Rain and Joe 20 years that something happens. The story is ok but a bit frustrating as even snow blizzard destroying Rains house and changing their living arrangements is not enough reason for Joe to grab the opportunity for true love. For me the story about Silas was just the pages of the book, I get what the author wanted but I could easily go without it. The story was also predictable and from 60% of the book, there is not happening something very interesting we just read about the happy couple. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
