  • Don't forget to muffle the curses and tears

Grabs you by the throat and does not let go. Sarge is my new man ( a girl can dream) and Pony Girl showed her strength, her core, her determination from the get go when we first meet her. This book is more in-depth story. There is torture and what happens all around the world to young girls (and boys) without family. There is a HEA and the age discrepancy is absolutely perfect for this story line. If you read book 1 (yes this can be read as a stand alone) this fills in more from Sarges point of view. This is a book you will probably want to read a lone, or maybe bring a pillow to muffle your curses and your tears. A fantastic read that will pull and play every string on your heart with discord and perfect harmony. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

  • An edge of your seat, steal your breath read

This edge of your seat, steal your breath and have you swooning series just keeps getting better. Not going to lie, I loved book one but this book, oh, this book had me completely consumed. Excruciating tension and brutal emotion are combined with taut drama and intense suspense and action. Bronwyn and Sarge's twisted tale is like an emotional tornado that pulls in your heart and mind and then sends both spinning. There is a rawness to this story, but it is accented by a beautiful, subtle sweetness that truly makes this romance a powerhouse heavy hitter. I am freely posting an impartial review.

  • I simply could not read it fast enough

Holy wow. It didn't take very long reading this book before I realized that I simply could not read it fast enough to get all the answers I wanted as quickly as I wanted them. Now that this book is over, I find I don't have the right words to talk about it. In some ways, I feel like I experienced some of the same things Bronwyn did and now I am afflicted with her same numbness. Maybe I'll just stick to the less emotional things to speak about, because the book hangover I'm dealing with is something outside my regular experience. There are some crossover points where we get to see what was going on at other locations during the events of the first book. It was interesting to see what Sarge was doing to find and rescue Bronwyn while Ian and Wavy were happening. Even knowing what I did about book one, this story kept me guessing with every turn of the page. I have given up trying to guess what the author will give us with each new book and have reconciled myself to merely being desperate to get my hands on whatever she publishes. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

  • A Spectacular Suspense Romance .

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Code Name Virgo . I also purchased a copy for my collection . This story is of the charts spectacular . It kept me captivated from start to finish . It's intense and intriguing so action packed . Harrison (Sarge) McEwan met Bronwyn Rourke when she was a teenager drawn to her he leaves her a chance to escape her life and start over . She finds her way to Zodiac Tactical and a new start . All to soon things go terribly wrong when an old enemy captures Bronwyn and Virgo and Zodiac have to put their skills to the test in rescuing Bronwyn and stopping the ones behind everything before it's to late . This is one heck of a roller coaster of a ride . It has so many twists and turns you never see coming . I could not put it down . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

  • I could not put this book down!

We are taken on another fantastic emotionally charged, intense, nail-biting, gut-wrenching journey between two people you might not think would fit, but are exactly what the other needed. Right from the beginning, Sarge’s need to protect Bronwyn is so strong. He didn’t even know her, just saw a teenager surviving the only way she knew how. After doing all he could for her, and being thanked with an unfortunate beating, he still could not forget her. Even three years later, after leaving the SEALS and now working for Zodiac Tactical, he is back in Prague not sure why he still has this driving need to protect her. This time he gives her a chance for a better life, he sees potential in her and recruits her to be a part of the Zodiac team in Paris. In the two years, she has trained and excelled and has become one of the most skilled members in her office. But after another successful mission, Bronwyn is kidnapped and is subject to so much pain and torture. When Sarge is made aware that Bronwyn has gone missing, that need to protect and save her goes on overdrive. Even though they have only been in each other presence a handful of times, they had built a connection that was so strong, it was what kept Bronwyn fighting. Her journey back to Sarge is rife with so much gut-wrenching tension, but Sarge refuses to give up. Once they are together again, the healing is just as emotional, but they now have each other to work through it all. If you had read the first book in this series, Code Name: Aries, there is a bit of an overlap with Sarge and Bronwyn’s story. It definitely brought back memories of what Wavy and Ian endured. These men love their women so completely, but it is the heroines who I am always in awe of. They are true survivors, they are so strong and are such fighters. Besides all of the amazing characters, the storyline is just as fantastic. The twists and turns and how it all tied in together just amazed me. I absolutely loved everything about this story. I can not wait for the rest of this series and also the spin-off Resting Warrior Ranch series. Another definite 5-star read.
