Good trip back to Haven, MT

Coming Home is the 4th book in Jill Sanders' Haven, Montana series. It focuses on Brian, who we have met in previous Haven books. In the prior books, he was gruff, rude, standoff-ish, so Jill had a lot of work to do to have him redeem himself and transform him into a leading man. And she definitely succeeded. There is a big time gap between this book and the others in the series, so Brian has really had a chance to grow and mature. When he returns to Haven, it's not necessarily to reunite with his town and family, but it's work related. He returns with Mia, his DEA partner. Mia is a strong female lead. She's determined, independent and totally amazing. But she has been unlucky in personal relationships, and she's not sure that a relationship with Brian can really bloom and last. It was great to get back to Haven, MT, and to see it from the eyes of "outsiders" - even though Brian grew up there, he really was an outsider when he returned. Seeing everyone else from the series, years later, was like a homecoming for the reader as well as a homecoming for Brian. Well written, with characters that you instantly connect with. A very satisfying addition to the series and Jill Sanders' collection.

    Coming Home

Wow....how great are families! I have to say that this is one of my favorite Jill Sanders novels. I just kept reading until it ended. The endings always come too quickly for me. Read this one...I’m sure you’ll love it.

It was good to go back to Haven, Montana.

It was good to go back to Haven, Montana and see what the people have been up to. Brian is coming home and he isn't sure it is a good thing. Mia has been his partner for a year and he wishes it could be more, but isn't sure that it will happen. Mia hasn't had the best life and isn't very trusting. Brian and Mia work for the DEA and they have come to Haven to see if they can find who has been dealing a dangerous drug. A drug that has been killing people. It may be a small town, but there are plenty of secrets. Will they survive long enough to find out if there can be something between them?

    Compelling Read

Coming Home (Haven, Montana book 4) is not the first book I have read by Jill Sanders. I had read a couple of others a while back. This story of Brian Laster returning home while working on a government case is not what I remember like the previous books being. It has an edge with some characters who have had to work through some tough past family issues. Coming Home is also a gripping story that grabbed me in the prologue, setting the stage for Brian’s story. It holds the reader’s attention not letting go until the conclusion. It is a romance so of course there is a love interest, but even that has a daring feeling to it. The best most compelling story I have read by this author.

There is a lot of things branching off that will c

I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review. This was a fast-paced, don't put me down kind of book. Brian and his partner Mia worked for the DEA. They were being sent to Haven, Montana. which was Brian's hometown which he swore he would never go back to. Between the crimes taking place and the relationships being healed, I couldn't put the book down. Turning the pages was like you were right there tiptoeing around not sure where anyone was or who was going to be there. But even with all that going on, you could also see the different relationships being healed. my favorite was when Mia's mother's boyfriend went out on the porch with Mia and even though it was the first time they had ever met, he knew that Mia was so much like her mother and explained the different body languages they both did as they looked through the window. It was then that Mia realized her mother did love her and had been showing her by the body language but never saying it. There were so many things branching off from the one topic that it is a book that would be of interest to so many.
