  • Beautiful, thought-provoking, captivating journey

What a beautiful story. Cameron is drifting after being injured while serving in the military. He is home, spending time on the ranch but feels restless, not knowing what to do and feeling incapable since he lost an arm in an explosion. He begins helping at the ranch, finding things he can do with his disability. He hears about an opportunity to go fly-fishing for veterans and decides to take a chance on a new adventure. Jen is struggling to find her footing in civilian life after leaving the military. She is working with Nature Fund and wants to find ways to engage other veterans into the programs. She plans a fly-fishing weekend. Jen and Cameron meet that weekend. Both carry a lot of doubt, confusion, insecurity as they try to navigate life without the military structure. I have a new appreciation for veterans, I truly enjoyed how honest and thoughtful this story handled the challenges involved with shifting from military life to a civilian world can be. There are wonderful layers to this story for each of them. One of the overriding issues remains the mineral rights for the Beck family ranch which has me very intrigued and desperate to unravel all the intricacies to this mystery. Love the family support that both Cameron and Jen have which adds another wonderful layer to this story. Truly a captivating story to find your own purpose while trying to navigate life and maybe love along the way.

    Thanks for your feedback!
