Another fabulous read from Colleen Hoover

I am so glad I saved this to read over the Easter long weekend. I like to give my favourite authors and their new releases my undivided reading attention. This is a completely different story in the world of contemporary romance and has such a unique storyline, which is like a breath of fresh air in the pool of predictability. Auburn is such an amazing person. She went through something heart wrenching at the age of 15 that has shaped who she is now. I could totally relate to her, in that I too fell in love at 15 years old and adults do seem to disregard it as just 'puppy love.' In that moment though, it is everything to you, as it was to her and Adam. Colleen did a fantastic service to Auburn and Adam in making me feel their love and their pain & sorrow. Owen. He is such a genuinely amazing guy. From the moment we meet him there is just something about him that draws you in. He obviously had things going on in his life that he was struggling with and he too has suffered immense sorrow. I just loved the connection he has with Auburn and how he reacts to being around her. Auburn is in a no win situation, she is doomed if she does and doomed if she doesn't. She is resigned to her future and despite what she wants to have happen, she has accepted that it is what it is. There are some nasty people in her life that are just playing her like a puppet but what happens when Auburn gets her hands on the scissors and severs the strings? And OMG <--- I had to do it! That prologue was soooooo damn good and made me love Owen just a little bit more *sigh* So to sum it up, I LOVED this :)

    Not much I can say...

I finished this book within hours of buying it. I literally could not put it down. It was beautiful. It's as simple as that.

    My new favourite

Honestly, this book has just become one of my new favourites. I don't know where to begin with this story and why I love it so much. Maybe it's because #1 Colleen Hoover wrote it #2 This is such a unique and emotionally charged story that you are rooting for these characters to find the light in their dark tunnels. I cannot express my absolute love for this book. Definitely a must
