    WHAT A RIDE!

OMG OMG OMG!!!THIS BOOK!!! I have to say that this book absolutely gutted me. My heart broke for Natalie so much during this book. Trying to be strong for her daughter while trying to live her life.. I could only imagine. Michaels wrote this so flawlessly that I was literally bawling during parts of this book. Liam.. oh man.. Liam is such a strong male that you cannot help but love him instantly. He fights so hard to not be attracted to Natalie but was a losing battle. The ENDING!!! OMG OMG!! GET THE SECOND ONE STAT!!!

    not a 5-star book

I don't know how this book (and especially not the sequel) has gotten so many 5-star ratings (here and elsewhere). The first book is decent, but not fantastic; the second book is entirely underwhelming (2-stars). The writing is ok, but the characters' dialogue and inner thoughts are not all that realistic or believable, especially Liam's. There was a lot of talk about the angst of the situation, but I really did not *feel* it. I did still finish it and immediately read the second book; however, that was totally not great and I just finished it as quickly as possible to move on to something else.
