    All the feels

Cooper's Charm is full of all the feels and charm that you could ask for.  The characters are entertaining, with just a touch of troubles to keep you reading.   Phoenix is at the little resort to take some time to herself and recover from a traumatic experience.  She's definitely not expecting to be attracted to her new boss, especially a man who is working to overcome his own past.  The timing may not be the best but these two troubled hearts may just be what each other needs.   Ridley is only at Cooper's Charm to make sure that her sister is OK.  Coming out of a bitter divorce she's definitely not interested in getting involved again either.  How do you think that works out?   I loved these people - they are complex and their interactions kept me entertained.  I found myself cheering for them all as they work through their issues and move toward really living in the world again.  Foster is definitely one of today's most popular romance author's, with everything from sports romances to romantic suspenses, but I have to admit that her contemporary romances are my favorite.  She's just got such a wonderful way about crafting her characters and I always get so involved in their lives.  I'm definitely looking forward to what she has in store next at the summer resort.   **Review given honestly and freely after receipt of a reader copy. This opinion is completely my own and was not influenced in any way.**

    Contemporary Romance

Cooper’s Charm by Lori Foster Love at the Resort #1 What a delightful introduction to a promising new series of romances set in Ohio at a lake resort that has just about anything vacationers might be looking for – sites to pitch a tent, hookup an RV or camper, rent a cabin or stay in a larger building. There are watersports, hiking, activities for children and no doubt other options not yet mentioned in the first book. The first book offers two romances (sisters find true love), a bit of a mystery that could prove life threatening, growth of characters dealing with pasts they need to work through and a whole lot of fun, romance and camaraderie. What I liked: * Phoenix’s ability to overcome the trauma she experienced – and her glasses * Ridley’s ability to give as well as take in relationships * The sister-love between Phoenix and Ridley * Baxter – a match in more ways than one for Ridley * Cooper – an alpha hunk that was a bit of a gentle giant till riled and in some ways wounded but not daunted * Maris and Daron – will they star in a book soon? * Joy and her son – wonder who she will meet? What I didn’t like: * The bad guy that was finally revealed * The local louts that seemed rather lost (do wonder if perhaps Harry might be given a chance to turn his life around) * Other than what I was supposed not to like…there wasn’t anything to diss in this book. Did I enjoy this book? Yes Will I read more by this author? Yes Do I want to read the next book in this series? Definitely Thank you to NetGalley and HQN for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

    Humorous, sweet, and heartwarming!

Cooper’s Charm is a heartfelt, entertaining tale about accepting the things you cannot change, letting go of the past, rediscovering one’s self, taking chances, moving on, and the special, selfless bonds between sisters. The prose is clear and smooth. The characters are hardworking, charismatic, and dependable. The setting is an idyllic summer retreat, complete with cabins, tents, sun, and sand. And the plot, which drags just slightly in the middle, is an engaging tale with a dash of mystery that’s full of friendship, family, light drama, witty banter, shameless flirting, sexy innuendoes, smoking chemistry, and new beginnings. Cooper’s Charm, overall, is a charming, uplifting, funny start to the Love at the Resort series by Foster that has a unique, quirky cast of characters, including the adorable beagle, Sugar that I can’t wait to read more about.

    charming and heartwarming

Look no further if you want to be charmed. This is a sweet and heartwarming story about new beginnings, with a dose of mystery and intrigue added. Only Lori Foster can weave a story like this that has you glued to the pages. It’s the perfect, feel good summer read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

Cooper's Charm another hit by Lori Foster

This is the first book in a new series for Lori Foster and is a winner. Lori definitely has done it again. Phoenix Rose is a wounder soul. After a traumatic burglary Phoenix is struggling to regain her confidence and find herself again. She takes on a job at the Lakeside resort Cooper's Charm. Slowly she feels like she is finding herself at this beautiful resort. She is also falling hard for the owner. Together they start to heal. They found someone abusing a dog while on a walk in the woods. This little puppy leads them on an adventure. Out of blue Phoenix's sister Ridley Rose shows up on her doortstep. Ridley is coming off a really bad divorce and searching for a purpose. She decides to step in as a housekeeper. At Cooper's Charm the sisters learn to love and that maybe life doesn't always turn out as you think, it might lead you into a completely different direction; to love, trust and believe.... I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I loved it and also purchased the book.
