  • disappointed

I have read every book Karen Slaughter has written, and I have loved them all, but this was just different. To put it quite plainly, it was randomly disgustingly raunchy and generally offensive. I'm so very disappointed and still a little shell shocked. I'm not sure how this book came to be. It was almost as if she was trying to think of the nastiest things to write. Regardless, I will continue to read her new books and hope that she returns to the author I once thoroughly enjoyed reading. With that being said, to each his own. Maybe you'll like it.

  • Interesting

Wow! It was a good storyline, but I had no idea there was so much sexism and racism in Atlanta in the 70's, I'm so naive. I found the violence tough to read about, but the storyline and history were great. As usual, Karin Slaughter has written another 'hard to put down' boom

  • Cop Town

Tightly written. Gritty. Realistic. Great characterizations. Well plotted. Will read more of her stuff.
