  • Always a pleasure to return to Baytown

I really connected with Lizzie in this story – she’s prickly, sad, brave, and unsure of herself and the people round her – but she never sees Scott as anything but whole, and that alone says a great deal about her character. She faces huge stresses in this book, from her grandfather’s death to the shady attempts to get her to sell, and she handles them all, possibly not elegantly, but she overcomes them. Scott is, of course, instrumental in much of the overcoming, particularly of the shady aspects, but he never overwhelms her own coping abilities. It takes a while for Lizzie to see Scott’s good points and to fall for him, and that makes the book even better. No way would there be an instalove in the scenario that Maryann Jordan presents in this book. The Baytown Boys are back, and this is probably my favorite of the series (this may hold only till the next one!). It’s also delightful to watch Lizzie realize that she is part of the community, and that they all have her back – she is so well written. I received a free copy of this book. • An Absolute Pleasure

Such a good story! Reading Count on Me was like comfort food for my brain. It was a sweet small town romance with just a bit of drama and suspense to move the story along. It was an absolute pleasure to read! Accountant Scott Redding is making a place for himself back home in the Baytown area. He steps up to help Lizzie Weston with her farm... whether she thinks she wants help or not! “... he had not promised that nothing bad would ever happen to her again. But that when it did, he would be there for her, carrying her pain.” This story is a standalone but if you have read other Baytown Boys books there are plenty of familiar characters who make appearances. -5 Stars!-

  • Excellent Read

What a beautiful story. Scott lost part of his leg whilst in the military and has come home to Baytown to work as an accountant. When Beau, one of his favourite clients dies Scott meets Lizzie, Beau’s granddaughter. Lizzie has inherited the family farm and Scott is more than happy to assist her in her future plans. However danger lies ahead and both Scott and Lizzie have to solve the mystery of who and why someone is targeting the farm. This is a very well written and entertaining book which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

  • An Absolutely Inspiring and Beautiful Romance .

I love this story . It's outstanding as is the entire series . Mrs. Jordan never disappoints . She makes you feel like you are part of the Baytown story . Scott Redding survived an IED but lost part of his leg and and some of his military brothers in Afghanistan . He now works as an accountant in his Grandfather's previous business with a partner . He spends his time with friends and projects with the American Legion of Baytown . He does elderly Beau Weston's Farms account . Beau's granddaughter Elizabeth lives with him and works the farm along side Beau . During their meetings though out the following six months Beau talked about Lizzie and asked Scott to assist Lizzie with her business ideas so she could hold on to the farm should something happen to him . Scott learned alot about Lizzie listening to Beau . Several months go by and Scott learns Beau has past and he feels for Lizzie . Finally he goes to offer help . Scott and Lizzie struggle somewhat but Scott persists . When bad things start happening around the farm . Scott steps up to keep Lizzie safe and try to get answers to why and who is behind things happening . This story is truely beautiful and well written and the characters are wonderful and unique . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

  • Love this Series!

What can I say, I love this series and I fall in love with each book. Scott and Lizzies story is no different. I love how strong both of these characters are and together they are amazing. Someone is trying to get Lizzie to sell her farm by causing her problems. I love the suspense in this book and was very surprised by who was causing the problems. I also love how the characters from the previous books are also in this one. Don’t miss this one.
