Meghan March can write no wrong!

"...a former gangster-thief and a madam..." During the devastation of Hurricane Katrina begins this story of Magnolia and Moses. Magnolia is no shrinking violet! She is as tough as she is beautiful and she is determined to be ruled by no man, she is her own queen and she is fierce! Slay baby slay!! Moses has come back to NOLA to win back the woman he had to leave behind so many years ago.  He is exotic and a swoony alpha through and through. This story takes you to the Big Easy, the Cresent City and Ms. March writes it beautifully. This story is just the beginning of the second chance for Magnolia and Moses and their chemistry is hotter than the gates of Hades! The dialogue between these two characters is white-hot and swoony. This story flows seamlessly with flashbacks to the beginning of Magnolia and Moses' relationship, though brief it made a lasting impression on both of them. I loved the magic and mystical themes that surrounded Magnolia, how steeped in the culture she is.  I like that she held a healthy belief in the unknown and respected it. As always, Ms. March delivers a heck of cliffhanger at the end of the story!! I cannot wait to see how this duet ends!

    I've waited so long!

I have been waiting so long for Magnolia's story! Meghan did not disappoint! I love Magnolia and how strong and determined she is. I didn't think I would like Moses after reading Legend, but I changed my mind pretty fast! While the story was fast-paced and exciting, I loved the humor as well.

Review: Magnolia Duet 1: Creole Kingpin

Creole Kingpin by Meghan March is the first book in her brand new Magnolia Duet . This is the story of Magnolia Maison and the only man who ever broke through her walls, Moses Gaspard. We met Magnolia (I believe for the first time) in the Mount Trilogy and Magnolia's story brings us back to the french quarter, back to a world we already know a little about. What I never expected was such a strong backstory for these two. The trials Magnolia has been through. The sudden trouble that has landed in her lap, and the secret that Moses has been keeping from her. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending, prepare yourself, it is one HELL of a ride! Enjoy!

    Explosive

It's here. The book we have all been waiting for, Magnolia's story. And we get to see how some of our long term favorites are doing as well with Mount and Keira. Magnolia is a strong independent woman who has forged her path through necessity. Moses is the guy who could have been. What an explosive couple. As always Meghan has not disappointed and leaves us on the edge of out seat waiting for the conclusion of the Magnolia Duet.

The wait is over for Magnolia's story!

I feel like we've been on pins and needles for years waiting for Magnolia to finally get her story, and boy it's turning out to be a doozy! Moses Buford Gaspard is the one that got away. The one that promised to come back, but that was fifteen years ago and not a word. So Magnolia created a life, became a powerful Madam in New Orleans under the protection of Lachlan Mount, and refused to think about Moses. Until the day she sees him standing in Mount's office. Where has Moses been for the past fifteen years? Why is he back now? And why is he talking to the King of New Orleans? Having first met Magnolia in the Mount trilogy, I have been fascinated with her for years. She's a fierce friend, a take no bull woman who isn't going to let anyone tell her what she can or cannot do, especially not a man. She has been through the wringer in her lifetime, and it's about time she gets to sit back and enjoy a quiet life. But now Moses is back and he's bound and determined to be a part of it. Does she want him to be? Can she get past the hurt of his disappearing all those years ago with no word? It was fun to see Magnolia rebuff Moses at every turn. She's no shrinking violet, that is for sure. We get to see a few small snippets into how Magnolia and Moses met, but there's still SO much the reader doesn't know yet. Add in some danger that Magnolia finds herself in, and once again Meghan gives us a page-turner story I couldn't put down. Just when things were getting super interesting, Meghan hits us with her signature cliffhanger and BAM! It was over!! April can't get here fast enough with the conclusion to Moses and Magnolia's story in Madame Temptress.
