    Thanks for your feedback!

    Needs more plot, less speculation

The primary problem with the Brehon series, including this book, is that the characters spend far too much time speculating on who the culprit might be. Yes, I understand that they are trying to take a logical approach to problem-solving as law students, but the speculation sessions occur too frequently. Why not give use a few more plot aspects instead? Or another sub-plot? Having said that, the Brehon remains one of the better protagonists in historical fiction/mystery, and Harrison is a good writer who keeps my interest even when the book becomes tedious in some respects.
