    The Fourth Mandate

Fires, plagues, vampires, bats and more set this book on fire. I love the differences in each person, and like how they come together to solve problems, and triumph over obstacles of dread. I'm looking forward to the next book. I recommend you read them in order. Otherwise you will not understand the story line. I've really enjoyed this new writer I had never heard of her. Am so glad I picked up the first book. I've been hooked since then.

    A very good & well-written story

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Another very good book from this author. Bee is a wonderful character and it seems nothing will stop her from what she sets herself to do. And that can be sharing her honeymoon with bloodsucking fireflies & other creatures, blowing a dart filled with a sleeping narcotic into the body of the British medical officer, enjoying the African scents and of course, never missing the opportunity of a good cup of tea.

    Curse of the Nandi

Bea, aka Miss Knight, aka Mrs. Timmons, enjoys her honeymoon and returns to find Nairobi threatened in many ways: mutated Bubonic plague, native unrest from the Nandi tribe, beheadings by fierce paranormal creatures. She also makes so crucial discoveries about her parents, and feels uncomfortable distance from her werewolf brother Drew. So much to deal with!

    Rain stops play?

It's hard to say what makes me feel this episode is stronger than earlier ones. It's probably, overall, a simpler story -- yet that doesn't mean less elaborate. I suppose, perhaps, we now have time to gain a sense of depth about the characters we have come to know. Where do fireflies go when the rains come, though, I wonder.
