  • Magical. Enchanting. Romantic

Cursed by K.K. Allen was a magical, mystical and fantastical story. It is full of secrets, curses and myths set in a very real world. I lost myself in the pages and often forgot it is fantasy. Because the author portrays such a vivid picture of Katrina's enchanting journey. Cursed by KK Allen was a contemporary fantasy, a summer read and mix of all these and more. There is something for every romance reader. If you don't usually read fantasy, don't worry. You will still love this riveting story. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • Magical!

This was such a refreshing read with fantasy, mythology, magic, and some romance mixed in. While you shouldn't come in expecting a full on romance, know that it's there and it's still developing. The author leaves us with more questions, but the set up is amazing and I am hooked. While I don't like the cliffhanger of sorts I was sucked into this whole new world and it gave me a Nora Roberts fantasy feel. I can't wait for the rest of the books!

  • So glad I gave this a try

Whoa! If I had known that our main character was a teenager, I wouldn't have signed up for this ARC. I've been actively avoiding books with teenage characters. So I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this first book in the Enchanted Gods series. I can't wait to dive into the rest of this series. Katrina Summer has always known she was different. Odd things happen when she's around and the latest thing has caused her to be expelled from school. When her mother is tragically killed that same night, Kat is sent to live with the grandmother she's never known. But Katrina is counting down the days until her eighteenth birthday. She learns secrets her mother kept from her and what awaits her on she turns eighteen. She also begins to learn more about her heritage, her Ancient Greek ancestors, and the powers that will finally awaken on her birthday.

  • One of the best of 2021!

Where do I begin with this one? I can honestly say, I have read it more than once because I could not get enough of the story and the concept. The build, the twists, the underlying currents that flow in this story. Allen created a unique concept that builds off of Greek mythology and so much more. The level of detail and creativity that was put into this story is something that I was blown away with. The blend of the mythology and fantasy with the real life setting creates an epic story that will have you wrapped up in every single word begging for more. Katrina ends up with her grandmother after the tragic death of her mother. With that has us tumbling through the rabbit hole with Katrina as she is trying to navigate everything that has been dropped on her. From her family history and how she is connected to that mythology. Between the various people she meets, the guys she has interest in and all the twists, I could not get enough and Allen created pure magic. As a whole, this story is something for the ages. I lived for every word in this story and the world that has been created. It is intricate, raw, and passionate. While this is upper YA leaning towards more NA with the build up and I am dying to know how things will play out throughout this series. It is very much one of those books you have to read and get completely immersed into the world that Allen has given us. This is an epic fantasy tale with so much more to come with how it ends! Cannot recommend it enough!

  • Love Kat!

I'm in total love with this new fantasy realm that KK Allen has thrown us into. This story gives us a little mystery getting into it and a lot of Greek myth references along the way.  Told in a different light, it helps to follow the old Greek mythology a little easier.  A great start to a new series!
