    Romance and conflice

A clash of ideals. The heroine wishes to preserve the grave of an unknown woman. The hero is a logger and wants to log a slope. She'sd a feisty history teacher and volunteer fireman. The developing love finds them on opposite sides. Can they learn to compromise? The writing flows smoothly and the story is fun to read.

    Uplifting Romance

Sydell Voeller is one of the best writers of contemporary romance today. "Daisies are Forever" was a joy for me to read. This is an uplifting love story about April Heatherton, a schoolteacher who wants to protect the forest from logging, especially an area around the grave of a pioneer woman. Matt Spencer is a logger, so it is easy to see the conflict betweeen these two people in love. Whether or not they can settle their differences makes this romance a worthwhile read.

Fabulous Read that will Haunt You Long After You

DAISIES ARE FOREVER is a well-written story that could take place anywhere in the US that is struggling with issues regarding logging. Should they be allowed to clear the land? I think Voeller does a great job reminding the reader it's not all black and white. Loggers take great efforts and expense to replant the land for future generations. This is a great story where love exists in spite of strong opposing opinions. Syndell Voeller weaves a believable tale that leaves us saying `way-to-go' for a heroine that doesn't crumble when the pressure is on and `bravo' for a hero who does more than the right thing.
