    A Great Finishing Story!

I received a free copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I loved this story that closes the Night Stalkers White House holiday romance series. There are glimpses of characters that we've got to know from the other stories in this series so that the reader can "catch up" with those characters too. It is a great finish that has all of the suspense, humour, and romance that comes with M.L. Buchman's romantic suspense.

    Editing error frustrates reader

"Damien's Christmas" is the sixth and final book in The Night Stalkers White House holiday series. I enjoyed all the others and have even re-read some of them. I really wanted to like this one too. But there is one huge, glaring error that prevents me from giving this book 5 stars. Within the first 3 chapters, the heroine's parents and background are given twice and they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. This seems like an editing and continuity error but I'm shocked it wasn't caught. It was so jarring I actually went back and started the book over from the beginning because I thought my memory was wrong. It wasn't. I enjoyed meeting Damien and his lady, Cordelia. You may remember her from the last holiday story. She was the Vice President's Chief of Staff. One of my favorite parts of these short stories are visiting with characters from previous stories and catching up on their lives. All the little details about life in the White House are so realistic that they make Buchman's books shine as compared to other authors. I received a free copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
