    Great New Paranormal Romance!

Wonderful introduction to a new series! Seven immortal Fae Reapers that have worked together for centuries are faced with a larger challenge than usual. All that is forbidden to Baylor seems to arrive when he meets Jordyn. How they will resolve their situation makes quite a story. This is an action packed, dramatic, steamy, wonderful romance with seven men that all deserve their happily ever after though we only hear the story of Baylor and Jordyn in this book. The writing was excellent. The set up for future stories in the series superb and makes me want to read each book as it comes out. This book was an introduction to a new-to-me author that left me wanting to read more of her books. Thank you to Saint Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the copy of this book to read and review. 4.5 Stars

    Great New Series!

Paranormal Romance look out Donna Grant has added a new crew of supernatural hunks to her vast fantasy empire! Dark Alpha's Claim, the first book in her new Reapers series, inaugurates new and old fans alike to a band of fierce other world enforcers. Merging some of her other series peripherally this series takes off from the start and makes a mark of its own. Sexy and urgent this story will keep readers caught up in its dark plot. A hero and heroine whose intense attraction is well conveyed by Ms. Grant and a group of enigmatic Reapers waiting on the sidelines for their stories to be told spells success for this authors newest endeavor! *I received this ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.*

    A great paranormal read!

Now, that was one action packed read and I freaking loved it! Aside from that, we also got our romance story with a strong heroine and a hero, who would do anything to keep her safe and loved. As already said in the blurb, this book is the first in an exclusive new series that I definitely plan to continue reading. But I feel it can also be read as a stand alone, as long as it doesn't bother you that the bad guy SPOILER got away END SPOILER and the warriors will continue to fight for the greater good. It all starts with a past grudge towards Death aka. Erith, the Reapers boss, and the current Reapers. After getting a new SPOILER false END SPOILER order from Death that entails the killing of all half-Fae, the Reapers are left confused and not quite sure, if the fulfilment of such order is the right thing to do. The first problem is that disobedience is punished by death and the second is that Baylon has fallen for Jordyn, who guess what, is a half-Fae. For such a short read there is a lot going on. Most of all I enjoyed seeing Baylon and Jordyn's jouney to find their happiness. I adored Baylon, from he moment he sees Jordyn he knows she's special and becomes (stalkerish) protective of her. After saving her from a Dark Fae attack they become almost inseparable and their chemistry is off the charts, which results in some seriously hot scenes. ;) Jordyn is so far probably one of the the stronges heroines I've ever read. I loved how she never gave up and tried to protect the people she came to love. Also, the secondary characters were a good addition to this story and I can't wait to read their stories. Dark Aplha's Claim is for sure a read I'd recommend. :) SPOILER ALERT Safety-gang: Completelly safe. No OW/OM drama. As far as the use of condoms, they didn't use them. No reference about the use of them at all. I tagged H as a man-ho, since he mentiones that Fae have strong sexual needs and they take care of them, too. But there is no attachment to prevoius ONS at all. The h had many interested OM in her but she didn't feel very connected to them, so her dates didn't last long.

"Dark Alpha's Claim" Book 1 in The Reapers series

I finished reading this book April 09, 2017. This is my review. This series is a spin-off series of Ms. Grant's Dark Kings series. This book is a novella so the story moves along quite quickly. The length of the book (I think) is a little longer than an average novella. This particular book is connected to the Dark Kings series but you can read it as a stand alone and would have no problems following the story. If you've read the Dark Kings series, then this story hints at information that connects to the Dragon Kings and what the Reapers are doing also affect what is happening with the Kings as well. Baylon is a Reaper and he and his fellow Reapers have just been given a new mission from Death; kill any and all half-Fae. But something doesn't seem right. When Cael, the leader of the Reapers, finds out the truth behind this new mission, the Reapers find themselves in a betrayal. Someone is out to destroy the Reapers and Death itself. When Baylon meets Jordyn, he instantly knows she's half-Fae and the last thing he wants to do is kill her. But Reapers rules state that relationships are not allowed. Penalty is death. So why can't Baylon stay away from Jordyn? Jordyn has always been fascinated with the Fae. She has every book possible about them. Her family has even stated that Fae blood is in their background. She never thought Fae were real until she meets one and they try to kill her! When Baylon saves her, there's no questioning their attraction to each other. But Baylon is keeping secrets. Can they really even have a relationship between them? Her life is in danger now and Baylon has sworn to protect her but that's all they can have. Overall, I really liked this book. The characters of Baylon and Jordyn are both very likable and have excellent chemistry together. The story moves along quickly. The history of the Reapers is explained very well. A lot of characters are introduced in this book, seven Reapers in total; Baylon, Cael, Eoghan, Fintan, Talin, Kyran and Daire. All are very interesting and intriguing. I really liked the story line in this book. It's a great set up for the next books to come. The "bad guy" is out in the open and now the Reapers having to deal with him looks like it's going to be the connecting element of this series. Well written. Exciting. Sexy and sensual. This book has it all. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one to find out what happens next!
