    Awesome heroine!

Ok, Maeve was awesome! I've mentioned many times before that I love the heroines who can really kick butt, and Maeve can kick some serious butt. She is going to make a great addition to the upcoming war. I also like the mystery surrounding her. Bradach is part of the Reaper group that was kept secret for awhile so he's fairly new. He has a hatred for the Dark Fae, and for him to work with the Dark Fae King and Maeve was not done lightly. I like that his reaction to her was instant despite how he feels about the dark and he didn't really fight it. I'm getting anxious to get to the final battle. I'm ready to see how this is all going to come together. There is so many players to this that it seems like one big chess game. I don't know how to play chess and I don't know how where this is going next.

    5 Star Redemption

Bradach has never once strayed from his path, his duty as an elite assassin to Death driving him forward. However, Maeve’s intelligence, cunning and determination challenges him in ways that he never imagined. While finding out what she knows is key to learning how to conquer their enemy, the Dark Fae is unlike anything he’s ever known and he will risk trusting the dark. For her…he battle darkness itself. The newest book in the ‘Reaper’ series is an emotionally gripping and stunningly exciting one that has pushing reality to the side and remaining in this fascinating world. As usual, the characters are strong, bold and stand out, grabbing readers’ attention from the get go and the romance between Bradach and Maeve is full of angst, passion, sizzling chemistry and sweet romance. The emotional turmoil throughout the relationship revolves around them having trust each other, let go hatreds from the past and listening to what their hearts have already told them and readers can certainly understand where they are coming from and why they feel the way they do. The plot is fast paced and full of nail biting suspense and adrenaline pumping excitement as Bradach and Maeve try to discover some Usaeil’s secrets in order to rescue an Xaneth who is the Reaper’s ally and Con, the King of the Dragon Kings. During their search they also discover more about Usaeil’s trackers and they set out to discredit her among her own people to prepare for war, this adds additional thrills and excitement to the story and readers really can’t help but enjoy this stunning, heart pounding addition to the series that challenges a Reaper’s heart.

Love in the Dark & the Light

Usaeil's threat to the Fae is stronger than ever and the Reapers need all of the allies they can get. However, she's got two of their own in her clutches. Bradach, who has a healthy dose of hate for all dark fae, is chosen to locate Usaeil in order to rescue Xaneth. He's got to rely on the knowledge of Maeve the Merciless, a dark fae with a reputation that precedes her, because she's got information about Usaeil they wouldn't get otherwise. She's everything he's supposed to hate. So why is he so drawn to her? I'll be honest, although I wasn't really lost while reading this story, I do believe that it would have been a better experience if I had read all of the stories that came before it. I'm intrigued by all of the characters who played a part in this book. While Bradach and Maeve were the spotlight couple who stole the show, I couldn't help but want to know more about Death and her mate, the Reaper general, the dragon kings, etc. Between the continued world building, the history, the battle scenes, the friendships, the intricacies of what the reapers do, and the love found amidst it all, I'm definitely going to be reading the other stories. I highly recommend this book to fans of the fantastical and lovers of romance. Maybe just read the other ones first 😉

    Seek and Find

Grant's Reaper/Fae/Dragon/Death series are complicated with all the characters that she has created. Even saying that all of her novels are worth the read. Romance is always a part of Grant's paranormal writing. Couple this time is Reaper Bradach and Faw Maeve. They are on a hunt to find Usaeil who has been kidnapping key players. "A copy of this book was provided by St. Martin's Press via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion." Although this can stand alone it would be better to catch up with the others in this series.

    Paranormal Romance

Dark Alpha’s Redemption by Donna Grant Reapers #8 In this ongoing paranormal saga created by Donna Grant Bradach, a Reaper in the second group of Reapers is set a task. He is to find Xaneth, a royal fae who disappeared in battle. He is to approach Maeve, a dark fae, to get information that might lead to Xaneth’s location. There is instant attraction between Bradach and Maeve that is not acted upon till later in the story. There is plenty of action and skulduggery with good and evil pitted against one another. We glimpse some of the characters from the past books, too. Having read all of the Reapers series, a few of the books with dragons and not many of the others I have managed to piece together a fair understanding of what is going on and know that eventually there will be an ultimate showdown that will involve many groups (dragons, druids, fae, druids and perhaps others) to set the world aright. I am eager to find out how that will happen and who some of the main characters will end up with that have not found their mates. I have no idea how many more books are plotted before the end of this series but am eager to find out how it will all work out in the end. That said, I did find myself thinking...how much longer will this continue, when WILL it end and how many more of these books am I willing to read to find out? Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars
