Cool book - interesting writing style

Been awhile since Ive come across a fantasy book with such a cool beginning - that being The End of the Kai portion. The writing style is almost poetic at times. Cool book with an interesting story line. Definitely kept me entertained.

A book full of adventure and suspense

Dark Legacy (End of Kai and Trinity) is a real page turner, reminiscent of "Dune" by Frank Herbert which is one of my all time science fiction favorites! The characters are well delineated, the culture is believable and the relationships are three dimensional . . . a rarity in a book that's full of adventure and suspense.

A sophisticated epic fantasy read .....

A complex, sophisticated read The End of the Kai is unlike any other fantasy read with elements of science fiction. It wasn't typical in that the POV flowed from that of a dove to an impoverished boy living and surviving in the urban depths of a city to a crow to the main character of this particular story. I haven't read any other story to have done such a thing ..... an interesting literary technique. This book, essentially a short-story that is a prologue to Book 1 Trinity, was good, but if the POV kept changing, I'm not sure that I would've continued. But I did and was happy to discover that the Trinity book was straight forward storytelling. And Kieko's story was absolutely amazing. There is something special in this story that Composto created.
