  • Amazing

I am a big fan of Amelia Wilde. Her writing is just amazing. This book will suck you in and will not let you go until the end. This dark and suspenseful story will having you wanting more. Emerson is the anti-hero that will have you at the edge of your seat. Daphne is the mystery that we want to uncover. This is simply an amazing book.

  • an enthralling dark romance

I am a big fan of this author’s style of writing and the way she delivers a sinfully dark story that ensnares my attention and keeps me enthralled until the very end. Dark Reign is a dangerous and alluring romance that is a part of the Midnight Dynasty world. If you haven’t read any of the other works in Midnight Dynasty, no worries as that is not necessary to enjoy this novel. I would categorize Dark Reign as a slow burn romance and the author does an excellent job with the build up between the characters. Daphne is one of the Morelli daughters and while she isn’t ignorant to the ways of her dangerous crime family, she does have a bit a sweetness to her. As a heroine, I absolutely loved her! Emerson LeBlanc is a Collector and is immediately enraptured by Daphne upon first catching a glimpse of her and her art. She becomes his obsession and in turn, she is fascinated with him. The hidden darkness that Daphne possesses shines through her oceanic paintings; calling to Emerson like a beautiful, captivating siren. Emerson is positively intriguing! His character isn’t as developed as Daphne’s and as such, I am not entirely sure how I feel about him. I don’t dislike him but I am not at a point where I would say I adore him either. It is my hope that as the story progresses, more is revealed about his character. He is most definitely an original and interesting anti-hero. The book moves at a relatively good pace and I found myself fully immersed within the story. So much so that I read it in one sitting! Dark Reign’s romance has a bit of the forbidden and stalker element to it which I loved and the obsessive possessive nature of Emerson is one that this author does so well with her anti-heroes. This novel does end on a cliffhanger which I had an inkling would happen even though it wasn’t explicitly stated in anywhere in the blurb. As such, I cannot wait to see what will happen next! If you love dark romances and/or have enjoyed this author’s other works, then you will love this book!

  • A Sumptuous Feast Of Desire, Darkness & Drama

O.M.G. This book is is a tempting bit of utter lusciousness. The elemental chemistry between Daphne and Emerson sizzles, snaps and steams and the tension is taut as piano wire. While the rich darkness, gripping drama, raw emotion and twisty secrets that lurk just waiting to stun you is a wickedly potent and enticing combination I could not resist. I am seriously hooked and desperately craving more. Book two can't get in my hands soon enough to make me happy. This is my freely posted candid review.

  • dark desires, stormy emotions and jaw dropping sec

Ameli Wilde curves her alpha heroes straight out of readers' dreams. There is no other way to explain how she delivers such swoonworthy, overtly dominating, possessive to the point of obsession and overall pantymelting hot hero like Emerson Leblanc every single time. And she also created the sweetest yet most fierce heroine like Daphne to upheaval the alpha's careful world. Dark Reign was twisted with dark desires, stormy emotions and jaw dropping secrets. And I am addicted.IF YOU HAVE NOT READ LEO MORELLI'S STORY I HOPE THIS STORY WILL BE THAT FINAL PUSH BECAUSE THAT MAN IS A LEGEND. HE MADE ME CRY AGAIN AND IT'S NOT EVEN HIS OWN STORY! . I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • So many secrets and little mind freats

"The first rule of acquisition is to keep the object in your sights." Little Daphne inadvertently catches the eye of The Collector This is a good thing in the art world. It can make or break an artist Emerson is obsessed with art, walking, the ocean, and Daphne Morrelli Her art speaks to him - pulls at his cold heart His desire for her has become an obsession And he will acquire her Daphne spends a lot of time denying her desires. She has always been the baby of the family. The protected sibling. She wants to prove herself to show she can handle things that she is independent. Does not quite work out the way she intended Emerson has so many secrets that we only get glimpses of I get part of the art thing but I am hoping to acquire the rest of the pieces to complete the puzzle with book two - yes people this ends on a heck of a cliffy I am a bit mad at Emerson because I thought she meant to him than that but ... This takes us back to the island Back to some of the events that occurred previously - Gave me a clearer picture of Daphne This is a slow to mature romance though the tension, the desire is front and center from their first encounter Dark Regin introduces us to Emerson and his family Gives us some breadcrumbs with regards to his secrets (ohhhhh and are they delicious little mind freats) Leaves us in the spotlight, blindsided and wondering what just happened You do not have to read the previous books in the series but I do recommend it - each couple and their stories are so different but they all read like an emotional rollercoaster
