You will get to know Hunter in this story, Yes!!!

The author's way of writing captures my attention right away. She has a zest to bring out your emotions in all her books I had read. It was good to read about this character name Hunter, the author showcased his inner most self and what makes him tick and ticked off. The other characters brought a great unique dynamic to this story. Characters pop in and out however they left me wondering and hoping to see them again. Do I have to say who? The story was more on the mellow side, a few bone crushing moments, hmm. . . well I stand corrected, not mellow. I learned how his human and wolf side meshed together to create this (?) person I became fond of. Hunter was more of a mystery character in the other stories, now I have a better understanding of his rough tough exterior. Pick up this book, I have a feeling you will enjoy the read, Hunter will definitely become your favorite character. The author wrote a wonderful tale again always kept me entertained, engaging characters and challenging moments and wrapped it up to never disappoint. Thank you, Darlene Cruz

    Gives great insight into Hunter

This is a story to go alongside the Alpha Underground books about Fen and gives great insight into Hunter both of whom featured in the original Wolf Rampant trilogy. My reading order was just right for me, which was more by luck than planning, with book 1 Half Wolf, then Dark Wolf Adrift, followed by Book 2 Lone Wolf Dawn and finished off with Book 3 Wolf Landing. As with all the books mentioned above there was a good sense of humour alongside a solid moral compass all accompanied by feisty but not overbearing females.

    Recommended !!!

If you want a great, entertaining, well written story with twists and well-developed main characters You must read this book. It's a great start to a new series. It's interesting seeing Hunter grow in his new role outside of his former military life. Stormwinder, his son Chad and his dauhgter Angelica showed him a new way. Unfortunately, about Stooge, his former wingman is in my humble opinion not given enough background (par example: Why he didn't run for the hills after seeing Hunter's wolf), this is why I draw off a star. Because I would like to stay a while longer in Hunter's further life, I'll read the next book in the series and recommend not only this book but also the author and her other books. So go ahead, grab this book, grab a cup of coffee and let the story give You a relaxed reading time. This book was a gift and I freely offered to review it.

    Hunter's early life

This is a story of Hunter, a bloodling wolf who has learned to live without a pack. Joining the military and going into bomb disposal has helped Hunter be disciplined and to live in a all-human environment. Unfortunately he has become dissatisfied with the sameness of the day-to-day, and tired of restraining his wolf when visits to human establishments (bars!)bring continuous challenges to his alpha personality. When Stormwinder offers him a job outside the military, Hunter is reluctant to take it and give up his human "pack". A change in circumstance forces him to turn down a re-up offer for his unit and, with no other prospects, he contacts Stormwinder. He is offered a job as an enforcer for the wolf Tribunal. He sees this as a way to help settle disputes and allow his wolf an outlet for it's aggression. Find out how a pack princess changes Hunter's prospective and how he finds a whole new way to help werewolves, female ones. Hunter will show up again with a certain halfie you may have met before.
