    Confusing yet Compelling

This book kept me interested but I found that it skipped alot, making you have to fill in the spaces. Half of the book I wrote in my head, yet I was compelled to read it until the end.

I have never read a book like this before. I have never been good at understanding scientific terms, and was hesitant to read this book, but read it did! Reading about the culture, and emotional differences and sameness of both races, helped me to understand and enjoy this book. I'm ordering the next two in the series and will read them with much enthusiasm!!!

Butler expertly explores ideas of sex and gender using her iconoclastic female protagonist of colour. Chacters so brilliantly written that they will remain with me always!
