    Fantastic!

I truly love this series! The characters are fantastic and the story is thoroughly engrossing. The world of this series is a wonderful blend of the real and the imagined and they fit together seamlessly. The cast of characters expands in this series and they are all beautifully developed. But Akiva and Karou were completely at odds with one another in this book and that was hard as a shipper of that relationship. But that only made the story that much more of an engrossing read. I love that this series takes the commonly held ideas of religious mythology and what it means to be good or evil and then turns them around. Karou and her people are chimera, what most would consider to be demons. Akiva is an angel, but many of his kind are far from the peace-loving angels that most of us imagine. The story is told primarily from the point of view of Karou, making you really look at how perspective changes perception. At it's heart, the story is about two enemies coming together for a common goal, a common mission, a common future. It is imaginative, exciting, and beautifully written!

    Just not a fan

Everyone claimed I would power through these books. I don't even have interest in reading the third because I was so bored through the first two.

    AMAZING

This book was just as amazing as the first. I am HUNGRY for the 3rd. Oh I can't wait it will be like the torture Akiva felt.

    a great start

I love the world that Laini Taylor has created. Demons and angels, tough decisions and fleshed out characters. Absolutely worth checking out this trilogy!

    Days of Blood & Starlight

#2...what can I say?! Very good, Laini Taylor has out done herself the second novelmin the trilogy is pain stakingly beautiful. The characters follow both happy and dark story lines and the romance is still happening. Even when you are just starting to believe that it has almost completely worn away, it comes back at full force and creates a breath taking ending to the much awaited second book.
