    Making it Right

This one is as strong as the rest. Peri Jean is forever finding a new facet to herself, and this is no exception. I cannot wait for another installment. I hope Ms. Rhodes is writing one!

I love me some Gaslight City!

As with all of my reviews, I will not be including a book summary, a regurgitation of the synopsis, or a bunch of spoilers. You want details, read the book. What I will say is that it was so stinking good to see Peri Jean Mace back in her old stomping grounds of Gaslight City, I could hardly stand it. I knew that I missed her old group of friends, but I didn't realize just how much until Rainey, Tubby, and Hannah came back into the picture. Hell, I'd even missed stupid ol' Dean and the Six Gun Revolutionaries! I've read everything Catie Rhodes has written and come to expect certain things from her books—mystical imagery, detailed and intriguing magic and spiritual elements, lots of action, deep emotion, and gritty, no-apologies East Texas humor and jargon that makes me snortle—and Dead End lives up to all of my expectations just like the previous seven books. I honestly don't know how she manages to keep things fresh, interesting, and MYSTERIOUS each and every time, but she does. And the skillful melding of new and old characters really revitalized the series for me. What can I say? I love me some Gaslight City!
