    This book has it all

What a ride! This novel was full of intrigue, mystery, suspense, murder, deadly disease and terrorism. What more could one want? Oh yeah, it also had a female vet, FBI agent and twelve yr old genius, abused by his parents. Love, trust and faith also played a big part. The plot kept getting more and more complicated at every turn with more victims and suspects than you could shake a stick at. But to me those are the best kind, the stories where the "bad guy(s)" are not always obvious. Kept me guessing for sure. I think my favorite character was Whitt. I just wanted to squeeze him and hug him and cry with him. Who wouldn't love a young genius, with an inquisitive mind and a great chef to boot? I guess that answer is his parents! I've read other books by Diann Mills and they just get better and better! I received this book from the publisher through Bookfun and was not required to give a review, positive or otherwise

    Good FBI drama!

Deadly Encounter by DiAnn Mills is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller. This first in the FBI Task Force series has a good, solid plot and strong likable characters. Stacey is a veternarian who volunteers as an airport ranger. On one of her horse rides around the airport perimeter, she comes upon a body. and the suspenseful tale begins. More dead people and suspects galore...who is behind all the mayhem? Is Stacey just a pawn or is she involved too? Alex from the FBI is called in on the case as it is suspected to be domestic terrorism. Nothing in this case makes sense and life just gets more tangled as more information is revealed. The twists and turns to the plot will keep the pages turning. The author adds a little romance to spice the story up a bit and weaves the subjects of child abuse and foster care into the intrigue. Faith and family ties are strong themes as well. A captivating thriller that leads to a satisfactory ending. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Book Club network. A favorable review was not required and opinions are my own.
