    Mystery, danger and steamy goodness!

I’ve always been partial to a romance that involved neighbors. Katie Reus always writes the type of heroes I love so I was especially excited to read this one. Autumn and Lincoln were wonderful together. I loved that they’d each been eyeing each other for a while before their opportunity arose. While Lincoln was plenty alpha, and thoroughly protective, he was sensitive to what Autumn wanted and as a result was gentle while he paced his moves towards her. This is a very fast read and I found it perfect to round out my afternoon. There is a bit of mystery, danger and suspense with a healthy dose of steamy goodness to balance it out. This couple was fire together and I loved every minute of their story!

    Absolutely Amazing Book

This is book two in The Verona Bay Series and it is Autumn and Lincoln's story and omg what a story it is. Anna loves taking photographs but what she didn't expect was to take one of a man putting a women's body into a dumpster outside her apartment and having to go into witness protection and to change her name to Autumn. Ten years later and Autumn now lives in Verona Bay and she is a teacher at the local school and she loved her job but when she went into the bank two robbers came in scarring Autumn and the people in there. Lincoln is a sheriff in Verona Bay and he decided to go and see Autumn to check that she is alright after her experience at the bank and also he is so attracted to her and it has been like that for a year when she moved in next door. Omg this book was amazing with all its twists and turns and it kept me on the edge of my seat and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and it was so addictive. Katie Reus is an absolutely amazing author and writer and she is one of my favourite authors. I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this Amazing Book.

    Loved this couple!

I just love books that are set in a small town setting. The more the characters to get to know and loves always seem to bring me into their lives more. That's one of the perks of the Verona Bay series. Lincoln is also a huge reason why I enjoyed Deadly Past. He's the town's sheriff and has had a thing for his neighbor ever since she moved in. As we get to know Lincoln, he proves to be a true gentleman who is also very protective. He hinted at being a pretty possessive guy but unfortunately we don't get to see that side of him, only because he was holding back due to Autumn. Autumn has had some pretty crazy and scary experiences in her life that has shaped her into being a cautious heroine. This is the big reason Lincoln had to tread a bit lightly around her. While I would have loved to see him more Alpha in this, it was a big reason we got to see how much of a gentleman he was. I'm just as drawn to that characteristic that seems to be rare in books these days. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. As Lincoln courts Autumn, we have her past catching up to her and a few mysterious things that creep in that keeps us on our feet. We've already got hints for the next couple in the book and I'm very curious about a few of those hints left behind.

    Small Town Romance

Autumn Perez had her who life turned upside down when she witnessed a crime. She started over in Verona Bay. “Ah, this one is Lily of the Valley flowers. I got it for a couple reasons—they were my mom’s favorite and even though they’re delicate, they’re tough. They survive harsh winters and always bloom in the spring. Plus, they’re poisonous, so animals give them a wide berth.” Lincoln Jordan is the town sheriff and Autumn’s neighbor. There one night stand leads to so much more. “What would it take for you to give us a real chance?” Ms. Reus has just jumped back up on my radar recently with her suspenseful romance. You don’t have to read the first book in this series at all. The bad guy is crazy as heck. Most of the suspense is in the last third of the book. A great small town neighbors to lovers story.

    Fantastic Action Packed Romance!

Fantastic characters, fast paced, action packed story in a small town. I loved the close knit community and the story of Autumn and Lincoln was very interesting. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc for my honest review.
