    Strong alpha male characters

I liked this book. I do have to admit that it took me awhile to really get hooked by the story but once I was I really enjoyed it. I jumped at the chance to read this book since it is the start of a new series by an author that I have wanted to read for a long time. The story had a lot of great elements added to the appeal of the book. I think that the main reason that I had some trouble getting into the story was because I just couldn't totally wrap my head around Ryker's behavior. I love an alpha male Hero as much as the next girl but he was a bit over the top. I really couldn't figure out why Zara would want to put up with him. As the book progressed and Ryker and Zara spent more time together their actions toward each other started to make more sense to me. In the end, I do think that their relationship worked very well. Ryker was an great characters. He has had a difficult past and has dedicated himself to finding the lost along with his two blood brothers. He has some special abilities which make him very good at what he does. It has always just been him and his brothers with no other connections. He has been seeing Zara very casually. When he sees that she may be in trouble, he becomes very protective and realizes that maybe it wasn't really so casual after all. Zara has also been through a lot as well. She has built a life that she is proud of working as a paralegal. She also tries very hard to help others and has sacrificed a lot to assist an old friend. She knows that things between her and Ryker have no chance of becoming anything more than physical so she takes what she can get. When she finds herself in trouble, she accepts Ryker's help but also makes a few brave moves herself. I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This new series is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, which I still need to read. If you haven't read the earlier series, this is a great starting point since everything is explained very well. I can't wait to read the next Blood Brothers book! I received an advance reader edition of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.

    Sexy and exciting!

I was ecstatic when I finally got this eagerly awaited book, read it straight through within 24 hours, and now I'm feeling so sad that it's finished. Rebecca Zanetti is one of the few authors who keeps sending me on these emotional roller coasters repeatedly. This was another 5 star reading experience that lives up to my expectations. Deadly Silence is the start of a new series, "Blood Brothers", that is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series. We are introduced to three men who shared an abusive childhood at a foster home run by a sadistic proprietor. Ryker, Heath, and Denver survived by protecting each other and using their unusually sharp senses, extraordinary strength and other special skills that they kept hidden from others. Ryker is the eldest brother, and after leading their escape from the pain and torture, he has built a lucrative private investigative service to help himself and his "blood" brothers find answers about their past and stay hidden from the monster who still hunts them. The overall plan is to remain low key and to keep moving around. But that changes when Ryker falls for a sweet and brave dark-haired beauty named Zara. And all of a sudden, they are forced to share their secrets as they attract more and more trouble and danger. At the same time, danger brings Ryker closer to the answers he has been seeking about his own mysterious origins. This was exciting, sexy, thrilling and (for this fan of the Sin Brothers) very nostalgic!

    Book 1

I may have to back track and read Sin Brothers first because these brothers came in and I have no idea who they are, and they are completely intriguing. I really enjoyed this book. I thought the plot line was well written, it flowed really well, the romance was steamy, and the characters were well written. I am looking forward to reading more

    Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti

Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti First in a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series. Stands alone. A suspense thriller, slightly paranormal, romance. Enhanced hearing, strength and speed along with high IQ's. A mad doctor at wrk. An evil, cold, mad scientist doctor at work. I loved the Sin Brothers for their protectiveness of women, children and the beaten down. And the powerful women that stood up and fought for themselves. No victims here. The same can be said for this series so far. Brothers and family can be made and their relationships and loyalty are all encompassing. In this book, three teens in a boys home become blood-oath brothers in the introduction and the story shows their support and 100% commitment to each other. Ryker and Zara grow closer and soon are super protective of their little family. When Zara cooked for the men, they ate with super appreciation and were not stingy when their thanks. It was adorable when Ben then bonded and "followed her around like a duckling". Yes, super he-men that can be a bit sexist, but they mean well and their vulnerability just makes you want to hug them. You can't blame the women for turning around and wanting to take care of the men right back. An awesome adventure, romance and thriller.

    Really Enjoyed this Book!

This is the first book I have read by Rebecca Zanetti and I really enjoyed it! Ryker and Zara are great and I really love how the story seems to have two plots, one for Ryker and one for Zara which really helped the story be as great as it was. I was never confused and I’m glad that Rebecca wrote it that way. I hate being confused in books, throws the whole flow off, so that excited me! Even when she introduced new characters toward the end. Which I think if I had read the other series then they wouldn’t have actually been new to me, but I haven’t yet. So I’m glad she did a little introducing. I completely recommend this book to you if you enjoy romantic suspense. Very engaging and keeps your attention the whole time! *I received a complimentary copy of the book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.*
