    Thanks for your feedback!

Good start, went downhill by the end

These books (which are all quite short and hardly qualify as novels) started out quite well. A strong female protagonist working with a team of drag queens, and ex priest, gay men etc. Which sounds inclusive and would be great if the author didn't keep pointing out every five minutes that the drag queen was "a man in a dress" and the gay men were no threat to her, because...well, you know! It's actually quite offensive to LGBTQ+ people to be stereotyped in this way. It's quite obvious to me that the author "got religion" at some point during the writing of these books, because as time goes on, they become more and more religious, which may not appeal to some readers. The majority of them have very rushed endings, especially the last one in the series. I find Deanna, the protagonist, to be quite sanctimonious and condescending most of the time. She dabbles on about not letting demons in and following the right path (Roman Catholicism) far too much. All in all, if you are a catholic, who believes in spirits, read these. Otherwise, don't bother. You'll end up as irritated as I did.

She solves paranormal mysteries with the help of an ex-priest and a drag queen. From human murderers to demonic possession and everything in between, De and her crew are out to stop evil and help the innocent. In New Orleans, hauntings are common and a variety of religious practices compete for souls.
