Okay but..Don't mix politics in a good story

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! This was a good read but… This story was written well, provided a great plot, included several plot twists, and had great detail. The main characters were likeable, the bad guys were just as they should be, despicable, and the story line was well followed. There were quite a few names to keep up with while reading and unless you got a good feel for each character by name, it was easy to get lost. This story provided a great suspenseful feeling and didn’t allow you the ability to guess easily who the mastermind behind each death was. There was a great little “ahha” moment when the title clicked and it all made sense. All these things kept my attention and kept me reading. Sadly, there was one pretty big deal left out of the blurb and that was the author was going to include current times political jabs and name calling at a certain political supporter side. It doesn’t matter to me which side of the political scene is being attacked, in my opinion, the very idea the author thought it would be a good idea to reference current political events was in poor taste. He used current events and/or political stances (somewhat) and placed them into the story and took that opportunity to take jabs at one side’s supporters. I understand that the story involves politics, and it would have been very easy to make up names, but that was not done. I think in doing this, the author is alienating a huge supporter circle that just want to read and submerse themselves into a story that takes them away from current events. Those very comments, while small, but very snide ones, definitely lost me as a reader of his. It was due to the nature of these comments, again it doesn’t matter which side of the fence they would have been on, I will not and cannot recommend this story to you. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *
