  • Great new mystery

5 Brilliant Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ I highly recommend you read the other two books in the series to get a feel for the character development. Book three has our men in a very comfortable space. Paul nicknamed Bulldog for his tenacity when on a case, is loving having a life partner that can deal with the challenging life of a detective. His boyfriend Cliff has a high-stress job as a hotel manager and loves sharing his home and life with Paul. Together now for over a year the two are in sync both emotionally and physically. Maybe Paul is still keeping the relationship quiet because of his work but Cliff understands. All is perfect, until it isn't. Paul has received two threatening notes which he kept from Cliff trying to shield him. After a horrifying drive by shooting that shatters their front window and leaves several bullets embedded in their home, Paul confesses about the notes to his shaken and upset boyfriend. This book had moments of sadness that rattled me to the core. Someone is on a hate infused rampage to purge this town of anything that doesn't fit their warped view of "normal". This crime causes death, destruction and terror to the town's decent citizens and Paul ramps up his protective instincts regarding Cliff. His boyfriend truly loves Paul but he has learned to stand on his own two feet since his parents snubbed him when he came out. Cliff is not appreciative of Paul's concerns so I got to see a more complex side of the hotel manager. The dynamics between these two strong headed men is intense. Both are independent and stubborn and I loved how they're learning to compromise as this relationship evolves. The couple's smarmy neighbor and his friends take homophobia to new heights and I was completely disgusted with this horrible bunch of men. To offset this evil there's also a group of endearing geriatric neighbors that charmingly have Paul and Cliff's back. Paul is racing around the clock to solve the arsonist / hate crimes and robberies that appear connected. Along for the ride is Paul's amazing work partner Rob. I adored the dynamics between the two detectives and wish there were more Rob's in the world. It is so well written by Ms.Felice Stevens under her pen name of A.P. Eisen. This riveting mystery has a perfect blend of suspense, mystery and romance and I strongly urge you to indulge in this captivating story. And Felice the last line of that book absolutely blew me away. How can I wait until the next story comes out? Special thanks to the author for a copy of this book for my reading enjoyment.

  • I cant wait to end..

I cant wait to end this series Im getting more adictive to Paul and Cliff. The development of their relationship is growing more and more in every book, the criminal case was well wrapped in the end. Somenthing that I liked of this author is that she doesnt rush the details of the case of the story in general,I can imagine everything reading the description that she wrote. So far this is my favorite but as I said I cannot stop to see what is going to happen in the next of the series.

  • What A Mystery!!

Wow!! This book was so good. Death Comes to Main Street is a great addition to this series, and is an excellent mystery. It is set in a small town that has seen crimes being committed against LGBTQ and minority businesses, and Detective Paul Monroe and his partner, Rob Gormley have been assigned the case to solve this case and end this crime spree. So, not only are we getting this great crime mystery, but we also are getting to see the development of the relationship between Paul and Cliff. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Paul and Cliff work through the obstacles that they were facing in their relationship, and the relationship between Paul and Rob is just wonderful. Paul and Rob are great partners and the best of friends. Rob, who is the comedian of the two, helps to ground Paul, and is the best person that Paul could have had by his side when the case they are working on hits a little too close to home. Honestly, if you are looking for a great mystery with wonderful characters this is the series that you want to read.
