  • Superb

Congratulations, Anne, on another great story. This one kept me on the edge of my seat and I hated to set it down. And what a surprise at the end! I look forward to book 2 in your new series.

  • The first book in a new series by Anne Perry

The protagonist of "Death in Focus" is 28 year old Briton Elena Standish. Both her grandfather Lucas and her father Charles served in the British diplomatic corp, in the past stationed in Berlin. Elena is now working as a professional photographer. After spending time in Amalfi doing photography at a conference, Elena travels to Berlin where she becomes involved in the murder of a German politician. Walter Mann helps her escape Germany and accompanies her home to Britain, taking her to the home of her grandparents. Then secrets are revealed. While this is a decent read with an interesting plot, personally I felt it dragged in places. Given Anne Perry's past great series, hopefully the next book in this series will be more enticing.

    Thanks for your feedback!
