  • Another fine mystery.

It is interesting to compare the early volumes of the series and compare them to the television production, seeing bits and pieces combined into a sort of déjà vous similarity, but not quite a straight transposition. The books offer just enough detail to keep one intrigued until the end. Although we expect Hamish to solve the mystery, it is always a surprise when he reveals the culprit. Beaton's descriptions of both characters and locales make this a trule enjoyable read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
