    Non-stop action!

Just when you think you've dodged a bullet and avoided having sex with your boss' soon-to-be cougar ex-wife who bought you in a charity auction, you are arrested in the middle of the night for her murder. And who strolls in to defend you - unannounced, unrequested, and unwanted - but an old flame from a fabulous, never-to-be forgotten weekend fling in college. And that's not the only big surprise, but you'll need to read this latest Justice Series book, Defending Justice, to find out. Defending Justice, Book 7 in The Justice Team Series by Adrienne Giordano & Misty Evans, takes off running and never slows down. Beckett Pearson is a former model and football star, and an FBI Special Agent. Jackie DelRay is a former prosecutor turned defense attorney, known for her toughness. Beck and Jackie have history both professional and private, secrets and animosity between them. Beck doesn't want anything to do with Jackie, but his career, and possibly his life, are on the line and she might be his one hope at staying out of prison. She needs to see justice done and is determined to save him. As always, the Justice Team promises - and delivers - a thrilling story packed with action, passion, danger, romance, snappy dialogue and a lot of humor. The scene where Josh walks in while Beck and Jackie are "at" her desk had me laughing. And I really want to meet Mini-Beck. The story is set amidst the Washington, D.C. backdrop of political alliances, greed, corruption and murder. It's fast-paced with suspense and twists that you don't see coming but with a satisfying resolution. The characters are well-developed and believable. Jackie and Beck are stubborn and at times reckless but oh, so likeable, and the tension between them, sexual and otherwise, sizzles. I am a fan of the Justice Team and highly recommend this latest adventure. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review; my review is completely honest and voluntary. Go to the website and read all the books. You won't be sorry.

    Fantastic!

Defending Justice by Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano is the newest book of the Justice Team series, but can be read as a stand alone. Evans and Giordano are magical when they collaborate and the Justice Series is a must read for any romantic suspense fan. Each book has its own plot, new main characters, but past characters usually make an appearance! Defending Justice is all about Jackie and Beck. They met a dozen years ago in college, had an amazingly hot spring break fling, and now defense attorney, Jackie, is trying to keep FBI agent, Beck, out of prison for murder. Quite the predicament they find themselves in. What I love about this story is how Evans and Giordano walk us through the process along with the characters. I always enjoy the mystery of solving a case, especially when a character is wrongly accused. The writing is so easy to read and it had me flipping pages almost faster than I could read them. The romance between Jackie and Beck is sometimes a little awkward given their current attorney-client relationship, but was one that was rekindling and I couldn’t wait until the case was over. Beck was much more in tune with himself and his feelings while Jackie struggled to be tough all the time – it was a role reversal in my opinion and a fresh change from typical romance books. The ending scenes were some of my favorite because they happened once the case was over and just tied the book up nicely. If you are looking for an entertaining romantic suspense, give Defending Justice a read. You will be thoroughly entertained from beginning to end!

Perfect blend of romance and suspense!

With just the right blend of romance and suspense, the writing team of Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano once again delivers another fabulous read! Add the fact that this is a second chance romance and I knew I wouldn’t be able to put this one down. Beck and Jackie were both great characters and worked so well together. Their past hasn’t left them on the best of terms with each other, but the attraction that burned hot on their first meeting is something that neither of them can forget. I loved how strong and driven Jackie was. She didn’t think twice when it came to rushing to help Beck, despite their past. Beck was such an interesting character and I loved that he practiced holistic medicine and was very health-oriented – not something you normally see from a hero. And he’s the total package when it comes to a hero – hot, alpha, and skilled. Like the other books in this series, the authors take the reader on the journey with the characters, uncovering clues and information as the story progresses, really making you feel like you are along for the ride. I also loved that they were able to do that with the relationship between Beck and Jackie as well – since they have a shared past we get to learn about their meeting and events in between, and I loved how that worked. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Justice Team book without getting spend at least a little time with some of the characters from other books in the series. I just can’t imagine a book without getting to learn what crazy t-shirt Mitch is wearing or what crazy stuff might be coming out of his mouth! This was a fast-paced read that was easy to get into and stay with from start to finish. The writing between the two authors is seamless, and together they have such a wonderful writing style and voice that everything, from the plot, to the dialogue, to the pacing, blended perfectly. Another great read I would highly recommend to anyone!

    Great series!

Very suspenseful series. I read through all 8 books one after the other. I felt like I knew the players by the end. It’s exactly how I enjoy reading. I was ready for number 9 though!

    Blind sided

Defending Justice Blindsided Once again Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano have come together to create a spine tingling, can’t put it down book with twists and turns to keep you reading till the wee hours of the morning. I know this because I read to the end with toothpicks holding my eyes open. Come follow Jackie and Beckett as they fight against time to clear Beckett of murder charges and threats of death from an unknown. Throughout all this can love survive?
