    Same old, same old.

Everyone is out to get Scarpetta as usual. Characters are not likable. Ending was unsatisfactory. Don't plan on wasting money on buying any more of her books. Just too repetitious.

    Depraved Hearts

Convoluted and too wordy in parts. This was not a murder mystery with Cromwell's usually good forensic science, but a confusing narrative about a weird neice. Did not like the homosexual characters.

    Cornwell losing her touch

Having read all of the Patricia Cornwell books in this series, this is by far the most boring book I have ever read. There are approximately one or two paragraphs in each chapter relevant to the storyline. After that you have several pages of Kay Scarpetta doing nothing but rambling. If the first book I had read in this series had been this boring, I would have never picked up another one of her books.

    Total Waste of Time

Nothing but vague references to unclear occurrences, and many, many repetitions of the same old lines. Nobody actually says (or does) anything that moves the story along, it just keeps plodding slowly in the same (very small) circle. I've read 93% of the book, and still tempted to just drop it, because nothing substantial has happened beyond the first chapter, nothing has been clarified from the initial foggy cloud of things that don't connect (or make sense), and there is no sense of anything at all developing - so - not much hope of anything happening or being resolved in the last 7%, either.

    Whst is the truth

A thoroyghly engaging novel with the right amount of cyber sleuthing and crime investigation aloong with politics. Is this person you met truly who they are? In a day of electronic media storage, how do we know what is truth and fiction?
