Despatch rider on the western front

Excellent insight uncensored by the military bureaucracy of the time .extraordinary heroics in executing the job under very adverse weather and shelling . also insights on the local populations near the front .amazing to see normal life occuring adjacent to the carnage . this a unique view not presented in history books on a very personal level with accurate and valid observations .

In my family history there is a DR. When I got a motorcycle my Grandpa told me some limited stories, mostly to riding technique. At the time I assumed it was just his youth. Only now has it been revealed that his knowledge was first hand, from his father. This book helped me imagine the sights, smells and horrors, but ultimately the link between a man and his bike.
