    DEVIL’S BARGIN BY Natasha Knight

Well another great book by Natasha Knight. I read this book in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Melissa and Hawk both have their own story to tell. But without trust this story would never have been told. Melissa grew up in foster care and landed in the worst p,ace, a family who abused her and took advantage of her innocents. Hawk had a loving family but once his mother died his father fell prey to his mistress and married her. Soon a sixteen year old Hawk leaves his beloved Scotland and lands in Las Vegas. Builds a new life and that is where we find both Melissa and Hawk. This has been a roller coaster of both emotions and strength of soles who are meant to find some kindness in the world. You will love this book

"I'm a half full kind of guy."

Hawk and Melissa are polar opposites. He's neat - She's 'relaxed'. He's rich - She's surviving. He craves control - She craves freedom. Together they are one sexy mess! "I'm a half full kind of guy" Hawk had me a bit on the fence. All sexy "ugh you mine" caveman protective then blink he was ruled by his vengeance and anger. He wasn't who everyone thought he was. Then again the initial auction left me with all kinds of questions as to his true character. Wait till you hear his secret. One slice of humble pie, please. Melissa had a whole house full of skeletons that she was trying to hide. When her past came calling and the truth was revealed I saw her in a whole new light. She did what she had to do. There is always a choice, not always an easy, one but there is a choice and I think she made the right ones. This was a hook right from the start. Hawk had an edge to him that made him both the perfect hero and the perfect anti-hero. The storyline was easy to follow, though at times I questioned how we got where we were. The cast was perfectly scripted I loved or loathed them, there was no middle ground. Except with Hawk. There are multiple smaller storylines within Devil's Bargain leading me to believe we can expect more from this cast. I do wish this had been longer. I have a lot of questions. There were some secondary characters and plotlines that I felt were introduced to the reader but not followed, this is what leads me to believe future episodes are possible. I also would have liked more knowledge or even closure with regards to certain scenarios that are current couple faced. Melissa's past is one of them. I also would have enjoyed more time with Hawks kin and the story there. I felt that the section was rushed, and I really was enjoying it. I know, call me greedy. I do hope to see Declan gets a story. We do wrap up with an HFN.

    end too short

This books started off really well in setting up the mafioso loan shark and the girl, who thinks she still owns a debt. I really enjoyed how they interacted with another, pushing and shoving. The reason I subtracted a star is that the end didn't have a well rounded feeling. There are at least 10 000 words missing. Yes they got their expected HEA, but the change from the Las Vegas mafiosi to the Scottish distillery owner is not believable enough. Also what happened to the foster brother was not sufficiently cleared up. Nevertheless I was well entertained and didn't get enough sleep until I knwe how things turned out.

    Unexpected turns!

This book went nowhere that I thought it was going, and took turns that I didn’t really expect, and I couldn’t turn away! Knowing you are getting a ‘sold for a debt’ story (one of my favourites) and then getting to see true ugliness and evil in that story, not what I bargained for. Not from our characters, our characters, even the bad guys, have a surprising amount of heart, and soul, and a conscience that stays hidden, but only to protect. It protects themselves, it protects others, and in the end, it gets them their happily ever after This story wasn’t the dark read I expected; it was a read about people who experienced dark things. One, never let it snuff out her light, and the other, buried their light so deep, only she could let him release it

    Amazing

Oh my god! What an amazing 5 star story this was. I read this none stop until the last page. It was a dark romantic story, but not too dark. Just the way I love them. Natasha Knight write’s the best kind. Hawk takes Melissa captive because her sister owes him money. He planned to sell her, that is until he sees this fiery women and wants her for himself. This is a captivating and intriguing story. I read this in close to one sitting. A solid page turner that made me fall in love with these amazing characters. It’s somewhat of a darkish romance that was full of suspense. It was intriguing until the very end. Beautifully written with a seamless plot that kept on surprising me at every turn. Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story
