  • 4.5 Charming, Steamy Stars!

I adored this charming opposites attract romance! Tommy Sullivan is a sexy, cocky, and charming bodyguard. He works hard building his new security firm, but he plays just as hard. When he first meets Abigail Haddock, he sees right past her reserved, stodgy appearance to see a rebellious, passionate woman. He wanted her more than he wanted any woman before, but he was her bodyguard and needed to be professional. Abigail comes from an accomplished, aristocratic family and has alot of pressure on her to be a successful surgeon. She works hard for long hours, but doesn't know how to let loose. When her boss tells her she needs to find an outlet so she doesn't burn out, she immediately remembers the sexy bodyguard who awakened her senses. She doesn't need a distraction while working to become a top surgeon, so she offers Tommy a no strings affair if he will be her stress reliever. What could go wrong after nights of explosive passion, when feelings start to form? When they start to consider trying for more, the pressure from their work, and their families could tear them apart before it begins. This is a heartwarming, sexy, and addictive romance that I couldn't put down. Tommy is a deliciously dirty alpha with such a sweet tender side. Abigail is so strong, and brilliant, but becomes more focused and at ease with Tommy's help. They make a perfect pair and their chemistry is off the charts. This is a fun, sexy, emotional romance with witty banter and a storyline that captured my heart.

  • Loved it!

I’ve looked forward to Tommy Sullivan’s story since his first flirty wink in book one of Emma Chase’s Royally Series. Dirty Charmer couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Just when finding a book to hold my interest for more than a few chapters seemed hopeless, in swaggered Tommy focusing the full force of his considerable charms on Abby Haddock, who challenged him like no other woman ever had. As all Emma Chase books have done, Dirty Charmer immediately sucked me in and held me enthralled from beginning to end. It was a wonderful, long overdue feeling, and I relished every moment. I adored Tommy and Abby as a couple. An elite bodyguard from a middle class, boisterous clan and a strait-laced physician with a stuffy, affluent family seemed an unlikely pair. Tommy was fun and playful and Abby serious and totally career focused. As different as night and day, yet they were perfect together in every way. Each completed the missing parts of the other. As expected, characters from the previous books were featured throughout. It was wonderful catching up with them, as well as getting to know the new characters introduced. Abby’s best friend was hilarious and a delightful scene stealer. Dirty Charmer ran the spectrum. It was gripping, emotional, heartwarming, fun, and extra-steamy. It was well worth the wait. I loved it.

  • Happiness inducing...

4 stars — I totally didn’t realize this was a spin off from the Royally series! That made my heart happy, and honestly I don’t know why Wessco in the blurb didn’t clue me in, but I guess I just wasn’t thinking. It was great to get glimpses of the other happy couples in this one, but it was mostly focused squarely on Tommy and Abby. I had a hard time concentrating on this one, and I honestly can’t figure out why, because I enjoyed it…it just didn’t suck me in for reasons unknown. I’m going to call it COVID brain and leave it at that… Tommy was definitely a blue collar, filthy mouthed, unapologetic rake. But the kind you can’t help but love for some reason. He has great intentions, and deep inside he’s a very caring guy. He’s just the kind of guy who has been happy in the state of his life up until a certain redhead turns his head. He’s very guy-guy, without the toxic parts of masculinity if that makes sense. He’s incorrigible. He’s sex-focused. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot more going on, and a lot more to provide. Abby was one of the first characters that is described as high strung and buttoned up who genuinely seemed that way even to me. She had all these expectations, some from her family, but most placed on her shoulders by herself. It broke my heart to see her killing herself for something that I’m not sure she actually wanted. Which is not the being a surgeon part — you could feel her passion for that. It was the needing to be the best of the best that wasn’t really her. It was nice to see Tommy bring out the hidden fiery side of her. They complemented one another so well, in a way only opposites can sometimes. They brought balance to each of their personalities. I loved that they enjoyed the opposite sides of one another, and generally didn’t want to change that about the other. I kind of like that they really did have a bang buddy arrangement, and that while they liked each other, the arrangement wasn’t an excuse…they were genuinely enjoying one another, and it just developed into more. That was unique and I appreciated that. The pacing of this romance was so unlike what I’m used to reading. We got to see a HUGE passage of time, at multiple instances, and I wasn’t expecting that. Strangely it helped me feel more confident in the feelings they had developed for one another, and for the growing they each needed to do on their own. But I was also thrown off by it — so it was both a pro and a con in the story for me. I loved that they both had challenging families, in opposite ways…and that they both had great friends supporting them in the background. And I can totally see some other stories being set up from this one — that makes me so excited! All in all it was exactly what I always know I’ll get from Ms. Chase, and it was delightful. I can’t wait until my brain gets back on track, because I am totally checking out the audiobook for my reread.

  • Delicious Dirty Charmer

Tommy and Abigail are total opposites. A bodyguard with lethal skills Tommy is a charmer, known to enjoy life and not take things too seriously. Meanwhile, Abigail is a physician and much more serious and reserved. The pair meets while Abigail is treating him for injuries suffered in the line of duty. The first thing he does upon waking up from his concussion is to kiss an unsuspecting Abigail and tease her mercilessly. To say Abigail is unimpressed is, to put it mildly. Dive in for yourself to see how cheeky Tommy wins the love of driven Abigail and enjoy the delicious laughs along the way.
