    Not for me!

The interaction between Xander and Christiana was hot but it lacked any kind of story line that made sense. Also, I like some romance along with the sizzle. She was an excommunicated, devout Amish/Christian and instantly gave up ALL her beliefs on the first day with him? I think it would have been better to leave the religious aspect out of the story line altogether. He was rude and mean to her. It was hard to like Xander because he always ran hot then cold. Even his tale at the end didn't explain anything other than he knew her when they were little. This book just didn't work for me. There wasn't enough story line to grab my attention.

    Stick or twist

Contains spoilers This was defiantly a angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other type of read for me.... On one hand I had the angel part of me was really torn on how to feel due to the morals that Christina had at the beginning of the book..... Christina was a devote Christian that was part of the armish community until her mother fell pregnant then was shunt from the community and they were forced to live hand to mouth selling bread to make money. Then Christina started working for a firm where the boss, xav, made her a very indecent proposal where she would be his live in personal assistant... she was desperate for money to pay off her mums debt and medical expenses so took the offer. Little did she know what she would have to give up. It didn't take her long (one day) to get hot and heavy with xav and within a week or so she had lost her virginity to him! Now the angel part of me was thinking how she could even do this if her religion meant that much to her then the devil spoke up and made me think well maybe she had never met someone like this before and in the end he was made for her, he just had a very warped way of showing her how he felt which I found very confusing but it all Comes together in the end and was a fab read!! I'm hoping that there is a part two to this book which goes into how the future pans out for them as xav seems desperate to get her pregnant.... if not then an epilogue was definitely needed. This was a very short book and I definitely would have liked it to be longer for sure. Enjoyed the read and look forward to more books xxx

It's not what it appears to be

This was an interesting story line. Christiana is a woman who is trying to support herself and her mother. Her mother has had some major medical issues and the bills have racked up. Sounds pretty simple but Christiana and her mom are Amish. They have been shunned by their only family and have no one to rely on. They have been making their own way I the world for Christiana's entire life. Her mother made do with simple things and make money sometimes by only baking loaves of bread. Christiana finds a job that she likes and it looks like she'll get a promotion. Until a new owner comes along. Xander is lusted after by all the women in the office. Christiana can't hope to have any kind of relationship with him. She feels she's too shy and wasn't the way she was raised. One day Xander sets his sights on her. He has a new position for her, one that seams he's making up as he goes along. It is for his personal assistant. She must live with him and do as he says. He takes her on a journey that she would have never done on her own. I don't want to give too much away, but their relationship is unique. Xander is very dominate and pushes her just past her comfort zone. Each time, he pushes her more and more. She is sometimes embarrassed by what she's willing to do but does them anyway. Throughout their journey she falls for him and knows that she's just an employee to him, nothing more. Until she's not. I liked how this story unfolded. There are secrets that are reveled from Xander that made me understand him so much better. Ms. Corgan does a wonderful job bringing everything back around.
