  • Another perfect book for an amazing series!

"I don't want to miss any more." Mira Lyn Kelly's heroes make you swoon, and her heroines make you wish you were them - this is the case with Wade and Harlow. And Mira knocks it out of the park again with this book! I was not ready for the ultimate scorching-but-oh-so-sweet swoonfest that is Wade Grady! He's driven, he's always fought for and gone after whatever he wanted. He's a good guy, and a dirty talker. Wade is downright perfect. Harlow's the reserved, cautious type. She's an overachiever who's put her career first, and she's driven, just like him. But unlike him, she doesn't take risks. She does what's expected of her, just like she's always done. But now she's ready to take a leap. Wade needs a fake girlfriend for his brother's wedding, and he can't find one. Then they meet at a bar with a few friends, and she ends up agreeing to be his date and going with him. I mean, what's 10 days, right? And maybe she can learn to let herself go a bit by doing something she'd typically never do. Except 10 days can either not be enough, be a lifetime, or be life-changing. In this case, and for these two, all of the above. What started out as something fake develops into something that is so very real. The small touches, the glances, their talks, and every little thing between them showing there's something going on... it was heartwarming and so sweet. And the chemistry between them... you know Mira Lyn Kelly NEVER disappoints! "'...And then I met you. And you showed me what I was missing. And I want it. I want a life. I want love. And most of all, I want you.'" What it comes down to for me is always what the book made me feel, and it made me smile, and get all emotional and outright happy. The good guy that is Wade needed his own good girl, and she needed someone to show her that her life could be so much more! A downright perfect fourth book for an amazing series!

  • Dateless Meets Good Girl

This was so good, I absolutely loved everything about Harlow and Wade! Harlow is a sweet, career driven woman looking for approval when she meets the incredibly hot, hockey player Wade, who is seeking a fake girlfriend to bring home for his brothers wedding. I loved the way these two are around each other and the build up that takes place between them. It wasn’t hot and heavy right off the bat and I think it fit perfectly, especially with Harlow’s personality. Wade had me swooning hardcore for him, I just loved everything about his chapters! I really enjoyed all aspects of this book. Wades family was so fun to read and see Harlow interact with them, there’s great moments of humor mixed in and the hot and steamy times were so perfect! An overall fantastic read, would highly recommend it!

  • Loved it!

Wow this book had me hooked after the first chapter. I absolutely loved Wade and Harlow. Both are not looking for a relationship, Wade needs a fake date and Harlow needs some fun and to get away. These two had it all. The chemistry between them was sizzling and the witty banter they shared was fun. Wade is my dream guy. He had such a big heart, he is sweet, he is sexy and honestly, he is such a romantic. Harlow is a driven woman who really wants to succeed. Together they are opposite but also so right for each other. Pick up this book. It will make you smile; make you laugh and even make you swoon. Be warned you will not be able to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

  • Love This Book!

OMG! Easily one of the best fake girlfriend books I've read. It's definitely my favorite of this trope and the best book in the series so far. Wade is just adorable. He's so real and so good with just a little bad boy thrown in to make him extra lovable. Harlow was a very likeable heroine. She was so wounded and was trying so hard to be perfect that you just can't help but love her. Wade called her by the cutest nickname of "good girl". Every time he called her that it made me smile. On paper they were very different but the author made it work. The chemistry was as sweet as it was hot. Wade's family was wonderful and loving. They welcomed Harlow with open arms. Harlow fell in love with the warmth, the generosity, and the love of this warm down to earth loving family. Something she had never had. They were a family even I envied. Wade's buddy, Axe, gave him some of the best book BFF advice ever. Axe: "Be the bunny, dude." With snappy dialogue, a well written story, awesome characters, some crazy moments, a little bit of chaos, and a whole lot of fun this book is going on my favorites list. I honestly loved this book. I recommend it and I hope anyone that reads it enjoys it as much as I did. I really do.

  • melts the ice

Mira Lyn Kelly melts the ice with DIRTY TALKER (Slayers Hockey #4). Chicago Slayers hockey star Wade Grady gets Harlow Richards to pretend to be his fake girlfriend for ten days when going home for his brother’s wedding. After being passed up for a promotion at work, getting out of town is exactly what Harlow needs. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers. I liked Harlow’s character. She is hard working and driven. She has been focused her entire life trying to gain her father’s respect. As a result, she does not have much of a personal life. After being passed up for a promotion everyone thought was hers, she decides to do something spontaneous and help Wade out with his needing a fake girlfriend predicament. After getting to know Wade and his family her priorities begin to shift. Wade is a likeable hero. He is a good guy. Every time he comes home everyone tries to set him up with a friend from high school, Kelsey. He wants to be able to focus on his brother’s wedding instead of dealing with everyone’s unwanted match making, thus the fake girlfriend. DIRTY TALKER was heartwarming and entertaining. More than once this story had me laughing and smiling. There are some interesting twists to the story. I like how the characters went in all business and come out with feelings for each other. DIRTY TALKER is an excellent addition to the Slayers hockey series. It could be followed as a stand-alone. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances and/or fake girlfriend romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
