  • Love - Security - Family

I was honored to read Simple Smile by Tawna Fenske as part of this anthology. What a powerful, brave, and emotional story. I loved that she set this story in the world of her Assassins in Love series. The women are beyond amazing and supportive, and I applaud them for what they are doing for women with helping them ‘camp’ and I also more than appreciated the men in their lives are right there in the thick of things helping them support women. I have to say the story is wonderful and the author kept a perfect balance of her rom com voice yet addressing the serious situation at hand. When you meet and read about Tara and learn her story and the fact that she has to go through all these lengths just to save her own life, it’s just sad. Cal is a whole other story and evil personified is not harsh enough to describe him. Is it wrong of me to do a happy dance with what happened in the story . .. no, I don’t think it is. Thank you to this author for a beautiful and touching story.

  • Absolutely Amazing Anthology

This Anthology is for a great cause and I definitely recommend you purchase it and you will not be disappointed as there are some amazing author some new and some who's books I have read who have contributed to it and you don't want to miss out on this great opportunity of so many author's coming together for this charity. I have reviewed two book's in The Dissent Anthology. Book One. This is my review for Dirty Trick by Regina Kyle. Dirty Work is when Jake and Ainsley meet and fall in love and Dirty Trick just completes there story. Jake has set up a scavenger hunt for Ainsley with the help of his friend Connor. The clues take Ainsley to all the places that mean something to her and Jake but what is at the end of it, is it a pot of gold or something more more memorable and will Ainsley like what it is and agree or walk away, well you will just have to read it to find out. Book Two. This is a short story in The Dissent Anthology and my review is for Broken by Dakota Willink. Greyson and Harper have history that ended badly and now ten years later he has returned and wants a second chance but so far Harper has kept him at arms length but Greyson never stopped loving her and he is determined to show her what a mistake he made by walking away but will she listen and give in especially as she also never stopped loving him. This was a beautiful short story about taking a second chance on love and is a great addition to this Anthology. I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Anthology.

  • Amazing collection

Irresistible Chance by Lea Coll Dexter and Delilah first meet when he brings a puppy he found on the street, during a bad storm, to the clinic. She’s the new owner of the Annapolis Veterinary Clinic and Dexter is a police officer. As they’re talking, he learns that his partner once dating Delilah. Colton is now dating Delilah’s sister, Remi. Dexter and Delilah can’t ignore their amazing chemistry, but will they give into it or decide to just be friends? For This Moment by Elena Aitken This is a short read about Kat and Andy. Andy is Kat’s brother’s best friend, so he’s always considered her off-limits. Kat has crushed on Andy for years. When she attends a conference in Vancouver, where Andy attends school, will they give in to their fantasies? Last Call by Megan Ryder This is a second chance romance about Lacey and Zach. These characters have some amazing chemistry, but will Zach break Lacey’s heart and get his Uncle Andy to sell The Salty Dog, the bar she wants to buy? Great story where family isn’t just those related to you. I enjoyed these three stories and I hope to read more about them in future books. I can’t wait to read more of the books in this collection, when the book goes live. I received advance reader copies of these three stories and this is my voluntary and honest review.

  • Brilliant Response

Fate Steps In - Amelia Wilde What a delightful way to catch up with the brothers and their families and it was so appropriate to the reason for the anthology. Amelia Wilde was able to subtly drive the point home of freedom of choice and all that it entails. There were twins, an only child (not for the want of trying but it wasn’t to be), biological children indistinguishable from adopted children in the same family. Every child was wanted and loved as it should be. A lovely epilogue to all three trilogies. To Love and Cherish - Linnea May This is a beautiful epilogue to Linnea May’s “Billion Dollar Chance”. Ella is just like so many other women close to giving birth and feels unattractive and out of sorts on their wedding anniversary. Gabe know just what to do and makes love to her and as is so often the case, that brings on labour and their beautiful daughter is born. A truly lovely ending to the story.

  • Love and To Cherish by Linnea May

This review is for “Love and To Cherish”. It is a bonus epilog for Linnea May’s book “Billion Dollar Chance”. Gabe and Ella have been married for exactly a year and even though Ella has no right to complain she is down in the dumps on her anniversary. Her moods have been all over the place lately. Gabe is concerned. He sets out to show her how beautiful she is and make her happy. A perfect hot and steamy epilog to catch up on Ella and Gabe’s continued happy-ever-after. I received an ARC copy of “Love and to Cherish” one of the books included in the charity romance anthology “Dissent” from Linnea May in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.
