Great Set of Stories and Authors

3.5 stars. If you love Fantasy and SciFi this is a set of stories you have to get! Add in some diverse writers and it gets even better. The variety of authors and storylines will keep you riveted for many hours. Some violence and adult themes so 18+. You cannot go wrong with this set. There are stories for everyone included. There is a combination of short and longer stories. So far I have only read The Other by Marilyn Peake, Mind Reader by PK Tyler, and Reign of Bone and Steel by Gwynn White and Erin St. Pierre. But just those story are worth more than the cost of this set. REVIEW FOR THE OTHER: The past, present, and future come together in this short standalone story. Are they aliens or something else? I want to know more about these characters so I hope that the author writes at least one additional book about them. REVIEW FOR MIND READER (Kalamatra Rebellion #1): Mind Reader is the first book in the Kalamatra Rebellion series. This can be read as a standalone but does end in a cliffhanger for the next book. Those with power and privilege once again try to make the rest of humanity subservient to them. Can they be stopped? REVIEW FOR REIGN OF BONE AND STEEL: This can be read as a standalone but ends in a cliffhanger for the next book. Power, magic, and revenge come together for an interesting story. People and situations are not as it seems. There are enough twists and turns to keep readers interested.

    Fantastic Story

I've only read New York ( A Bridge and Sword Prequel) by JC Andrijeski and it was Awesome!!! The story had me hooked from the beginning, where Allie is saved by a stranger during an airport explosion, to learning this stranger is Revik. So much action and an eye opening storyline!!!! If you love the series, this is a must read!!! I received an advanced reader copy and reviewed it voluntarily

Review Reign of Bone & Steel

Review for Reign of Bone & Steel || 4/5 stars I want to start off by saying that I absolutely love the cover and title for this book. I think it’s so cool, and everything goes together so beautifully. Overall this was a pretty enjoyable read! I’ve read a couple of Gwynn White’s and Erin St Pierre’s books and they’ve all been stunningly written. I love the language and vivid descriptions. I just had a couple issues so I’ll go in to detail about those and then end on a positive note. The first thing was the worldbuilding. This was an interesting world, and I don’t have a problem with that but just the fact that I didn’t get to learn that much about it. The info all felt very narrow, and we just got the basics of what we needed to know for the story to progress. I just wanted to learn more about the world and I would have been interested in hearing a little more about the Nyhans as well. Which I know can be hard sometimes when it’s a shorter book and its more plot focused. The second thing that I didn’t like or felt a little bit off was the romance between Caeda and Dominik. I absolutely love romance in fantasy books, but to me this didn’t seem like it added a lot to the story. I feel like the same feeling and purpose would be achieved if they just stayed friends. It also felt very rushed in a way. I think a reason for that was because Dominik already had feelings for her so we didn’t necessarily see those grow. I guess it felt like a lot of it happened off page. Also, just how much they talked about Ayda and the way they did it almost felt like he should have been in love with her, at least more in the beginning. I’m not sure if this even made sense, but something felt off about it to me. Besides those two things it was great! The whole idea with the bone and soul-forged seemed unique and not really something I’ve seen in other books. I loved seeing Caeda and other characters get through their obstacles and battle through to do what they felt was the right thing to do. I just really loved these characters in general. I think my favorite character in this whole book is Caeda herself, of course, but also Soul-forged the sword. Every snarky comment he made, and just random thing he would do honestly made me really laugh. Also, that ending was quite a bit of a shock for me! I was trying to figure out the whole time who was behind what, and I wasn’t expecting that. I think fans of Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series and Throne of Glass Series would enjoy this book.

Who can say no to a collection like this

Who can say no to a collection with these authors in it! I got lucky and was able to obtain an ARC of Mind Raider before hand and I must say Wow, just wow.... I usually stick to fantasy and sci-fi Romance and I am happy I got the arc for it. I totally love the world building and the characters fit in so perfectly in that world. Plenty of action, suspense, intrigue and drama that kept me glued to the pages until I finished. I hope that there will be more to this world! I will eventually get to the rest of the stories in this set, my TBR list is huge and this one is now added to it.

    Good Read

I haven't read the whole Dominion Rising boxset yet. This review is for Touching Infinity by Erin Hayes. I liked Touching Infinity and can't wait for the next book too come out so I can find out what happens in Clementine's story. I liked Clementine Jones, a human that's a little over half cyborg too. She is the 1st mate on the space pirate ship Pícara. Clementine and her shipmates get paid by top corporations to steal important information from their competitors. It can be pretty dangerous at times but Clementine and her shipmates are a great team and every job they've had up until now has been relatively easy for them with minimal injuries. Given an offer hard to refuse they decide to check out the job. Finding out too late that it's much more dangerous than it seemed. Clementine and her shipmates have to find a way to escape without any casualties. Just when they think they've made it they are thrown a curveball that is so horrible it's hard to imagine. I will edit and add more as I read more of the stories.
