    A Real Kimberley Story

For those who want to know about the Kimberley, read this. Donkey Dundee by Russell Roberts is the real Kimberley story.

Really funny, the characters are brilliant

Donkey Dundee is one of the funniest books I’ve read. I was laughing out loud, it was embarrassing. Sometimes I was laughing so hard I had to stop reading and wipe my eyes. I love the way the writer has used Australian slang, and obviously language that comes from the Kimberly. I got a lot from this book. There is heaps of stuff about the country side and the people. The characters are brilliant. Big Julie is my hero. If you want a good laugh, this is it.

    Must read!

Russell is a hypnotic storyteller, who has created a rich mythology utilizing the Kimberley’s unique vernacular. Humor prevails throughout but doesn't deflate the serious themes, which resonate with current obstacles faced in today’s society. The rich portrayal of the characters and their individual views are as seductive as the powerful evocative landscapes that Russell so successfully illustrates. ‘Donkey Dundee’ is a must read for anyone venturing to the Kimberley or seeking a taste of the remarkable region
